Joe you realize this is the 6.9 ski thread right... And what did you lose and how?

Oops!!! I purchased the a/c procross lit handguards. The LED on one guard is completely out & other side half is out. I got two days of riding with them.
I ignored all the information I found on them & how many guys had trouble with handguards not working.

You "may" have got a kit from last season? Hard to know for sure.

Many had this issue, and they were recalled. You should get them warrantied no questions.

I do know the BRP ones are doing same thing(sporadically), and I have found that my BRP kit and the Procross kits both use the exact same white LED power converter box....cheap china junk.

I did not follow the CAT instructions as I noted in my build thread, they wanted white LED converter box to be mounted on right side above all the heat. I thought that was not smart, and I mounted mine on left side near top of fuel tank,Pics in my thread. Not saying the heat was your issue but I just did not think that was smart spot on these turbo models.

I'm glad I didn't buy those. one less thing to break on my sled!

15 inches plus of new powder today. Ran the newly installed 5.7 pilots set up as per Dan's carbide specs on the trail. Sled handled 1000 times better than the tuners in the loose snow. Some push as expected but very controllable unlike the tuners. Hit the lake with the new snow on it and the sled got on top of the snow after 70mph. I am sure the wider Pilots would be better in the deep but over all I am very impressed with the 5.7 pilots.

That is when the 6.9s are a blast....hitting the lake with a foot or more of fresh, and with the big power tunes the sled will point the nose into the sky as the 6.9s jump on top.....such a blast!

Dan, looking at your pictures it appeared to be hardpack conditions, if so how were the 6.9's turning on the hardpack ?

question...anyone ever try bergstrom ski savers? thoughts?
I got them, and found out after they are made for Scotts TPs...not for a normal pilot carbide that bends up at back, Scotts are longer and dont bend up at back and he makes his savers to work with them.

Work great on hardpack.....its the softer conditions that bring on push like any ski...

Im going to start to mess with suspension, and will be installing new carbides finally...as Ive still been running old carbides from last season. Will be putting abit more ski pressure on.
