Funny I ordered everything last night, I just went with the blk/white combo ski colorI finally broke down and ordered everything today can't wait to try it out just need to go get the hardware for the ski loops, pricing if anyone is interested
Skis $209
8" carbide $80
4" $51
White ski loops $44 for both
You guys might want to consider going with shaper bars instead of round bars if you are used to a C & A or Simmons.

Definitely sounds like these skis are the ticket.
I would love to find a like new take off set of orange pilots, either, 5.7 or 6.9, to try on my turbo cat, in Ontario.

Trying to get everything together before the skis come in has anyone had any luck finding the stainless steel hardware locally instead of ordering online at Home Depot or lowes etc

400km this last weekend on the Pilot 6.9 still loving them but did find a weakness. Riding in low snow conditions if you wack a rock or stump with the outboard edge they bend up easily. Just due to the width and lack of reinforcement (it is a mountain ski so not exposed to that type of condition). Heat gun, 2x4 and sledge hammer will pound it back straight. Based on my riding conditions I believe the 5.7 would be a better choice.
Have you looked at a local hardware store?Trying to get everything together before the skis come in has anyone had any luck finding the stainless steel hardware locally instead of ordering online at Home Depot or lowes etc

they arent a rugged ski....or a good wearing ski if you ride low snow conditions......as an alternative...the slp slt's have the same curved keel easy steering for on trail...and the slp mohawks for on and off trail (crossover) or powder pros for mostly off....all with curved keel...
and they come in colors ; )

Actually gave up on my SLT skis.. 6 inch is MAX length carbide if you go the SLT route.. Like the skis(with 6 inch ACE woody bars) but picked up a VERY cheap set of white cat skis.. Have a lot of Cat ski carbides in the garage.. Ran Bergstroms 8 inch for last 400 miles.. Pretty good.. Slim Jim next on cat skis.. I found the SLT to wear VERY FAST also when it comes to low snow.. 1000 miles I put on mine and they look like Sh*% IMO.. Steering effort and darting was not any better then the Cat skis IMO.they arent a rugged ski....or a good wearing ski if you ride low snow conditions......as an alternative...the slp slt's have the same curved keel easy steering for on trail...and the slp mohawks for on and off trail (crossover) or powder pros for mostly off....all with curved keel...

many many miles on pilots over the yrs....Sure they wont last long if you are running dirt and not replacing carbides when needed. I had well over 10,000 miles on my first pair and looked new still, and combined 20k miles on other sleds with pilots.
They are no more susceptible to wear then any other plastic ski IMO, Just use them sensibly as any plastic ski.
Also remember you can pretty much buy 2 pairs of these for the price of most other aftermarket skis.

I have a pair of 6.9's on my Wife's sled that were on her 2011 Renegade and they too look new. I make sure the carbides are good and never rode them without the outer carbide in place. I think the wider 6.9's flex a little more side to side than the 5.7 Pilots but I don't see that as a problem.many many miles on pilots over the yrs....Sure they wont last long if you are running dirt and not replacing carbides when needed.
