Possible group buy for LED safety lights.

O.K., I'm WAAAAAAAY late to this thread but I was really impressed with the setup I saw on Terry's sled. Is there a TY price and if so how much????
I'm seriously interested. He##, I might even get my favorite hand signal hater (apex_yooper) to spring for one also.

Speedfreek, We are still running the $99.99 offer for forum users. Don't forget to check the CSS out in the Febuary issues of American Snowmobiler, SnoGoer, SnoTech and Snow West magazines! ;)!

Buddha I think this is the offer to the TY members thus far. Give them a call very nice people to deal with.

While I certainly hope these gain popularity for all the right reasons, thus far on my last two trips they've been an excellent indicator to meet up with TY guys.

I pass an oncoming group on the trail, see the light(s) and sure enough they're TY members. 8)

Can pick them out no problem.

That's how I saw Steve this past Saturday. Now think of this, if I can spot him on a busy trail following in the snow dust of 3 people..............

Think what you want, but the light stands out, period.

On the Manitoba TY a lot of people asked about the lights and everyone of them liked the idea. They asked what are these? They were really impressed when I started the sled and showed them working. Chris one thing you need to add to your design is a led light on the riders side with one green and one yellow to tell you which color is on at the moment. Where is your banner? Printing a color code into the plastic would work for daytime but at night or the day the one led for each color would be nice.

What are the advantages of these lights? I can't see how they are going to help any more than all the silly arm-waving that goes on (even after dark!). So there is another sled in a party's group...who cares? You have to ride defensivley on YOUR side of the trail regardless. And the all clear sign (closed fist, or whatever light color) really doesn't mean squat, since another sled can be running right behind the group whose last rider just gave the all clear. WTF?

The obvious advantage is both your hands are on handle bars when passing other sleds and your sign is quite obvious and clear with the lights. At least with the lights or the old hand signal you know when one group has passed. Yes you should always drive defensively and on your side of trail which is why I bought and endorse this product both my hands are on the bars keeping my sled on the right side ready to take a defensive move if need be. I ride with my wife and kids and this little amount of ease of mind knowing they have both hands on the bars meeting traffic is enough reason for me to spend the cash.

Chris, I see you are advertising on TY! That is great, and will try to get your products out there for the public to see. I am remounting mine down to the area where it is right above the left side panel, like your advertising banner.

Glad to be back

Thanks Nos, Glad to be back. This site is awesome  I'm happy to be riding attak gt's this season ;)! I attached to the small sub frame between the hood and side panel. I used a long arm instead the std arm so the CSS could be could sit horizontal instead of sideways.

I will be getting a hold of you Chris, for another one.

I have mine switched down to the left side panel now, and it looks great.

To those who have purchased the units without the led indicators on the back of the unit......pick up a green and yellow paint pen, and when it is reading the correct light in front, put a mark next to the switch in corresponding color.

Chris, if you have older units, I would b e interested in one of those also. Do you have more brochures and stickers you could send me as mine are gone except for 1 that is all ruffed up from showing everyone.

Thnaks

I have 2 we bought at last years show and never put on.
Just cant drill the holes on my sled to install them.

You dont need to do that (drill no stinking holes in the bodywork)

Know the space between the hood and the lower black panel??

Drill and tap 2 holes on the headlight pod sheetmetal, but you will need a longer ram arm.
