Power Steering

The reviews I read on new ski have been almost all positive, I would prefer the Rouski, over Rollerski but we have both now and I can use the Rollerski. Might try to engineer a longer bolt for boot to grab, tha is my only complaint on them

I am not personally sold on the striker ski yet ( my wife rides the stx), it is possible that you may want to find a different ski that you like that the rouski fits on before ordering a rollerski.
I use a USI triple threat ski with stud boy deuce bar I believe. I like them on the my STX Gt.

my issue is not that they are bad in any way, its just that with the power steering, i feel there is allot of meat left on the bone. Our riding areas include alot of deep stuff where a wider ski out performs a skinnier trail only kind of ski. i will have to have too look at the usi ski, i think a nice square shaper bar would be responsive yet allow predictable push in the corners

The reviews on the ski used on the Arctic Cat Riot 9000 seem to be positive. They are a wider ski.
Might be a cheaper option. They seem to be @ $100 each, the loops @$25

In deep snow you'll need a real wide ski...I would say the STX-Gt is not a good sled in any off trail riding or deep snow. The lugs are not big enough and the weight just sends you sinking real quick.

I'm almost 60 and the tight twisties beat me up after a long day on both the Yamaha or ski-doo 4 strokes. This new system may be the answer. I just hate to spend another 18k on a sled that I haven't tried. I might sell the 2021 Renegade 900 turbo x. I've added elka stage 3s looking for a smoother ride up front. I'd love to have Doos rmotion x and the procross front with EPS. That might be the perfect sled.

Obviously the sled would stay out of the super deep stuff, but when you you have trails that run through fields or sloughs you can't control what you need to go through, even the lakes generally have over 1ft of loose snow on them. My riding conditions likely are not very comparible to yours, as is, the stx will be just fine unless she has to climb a hill for unknown reasons. I have some full keel c&a skiis that will likely go on first, sometimes I like to tinker and try different things haha

I can get one for 18200 plus tax
plus tax, plus destination charge, plus mirrors, plus cover, plus a few add on's and you're close to 20k. But 18.2k is a decent price. I think they are coming off their sticker price. Good luck, the sled is awesome!!! Joe

In Canada right now a 23 LTX GT is $17,388 USD. Stupid exchange rate!
(Taxes and licensing, import duties not included) suffering an excessive amount of apologies, and dealing with general 'niceness' are free

Bingo!, I was really dissapointed with the stryke ski on my 22 winder. Tried all the shims available and a bunch of different runners and suspension settings and was just never happy with them.I pulled the skis off my wifes riot 800 (proclimb-7 G2)and swapped the sniper double down bars on them and went for a ride and was blown away how good they worked. Ordered a black set off country cat right away that night. The keel is deep so they turn good and with sniper double downs there is no darting. They didnt require much steering effort even on a non eps sled. Should be standard equipment on all 4 strokes imo. Only time I will say I dont like them is when there is a thick crust on the snow and you are breaking trail, they are a little sketchy in that situation but everywhere else Im real happy with them.

sticker on the STX GT is 20k..It comes with saddle bags and the 2up seat, both of which jack the price. Not sure which model we were talking about.

$19,398.54 is todays exchange rate. This was more of a backhanded complaint about the exchange rate and how much it costs in canada for almost anything right now (e.g. turbosmart BOV currently @$200 canuckistan copeks whereas a year ago it was $149.00), except of course sleds which are a bit more stable and the exchange rate currently translates in better sticker value but worse once you add tax.

canuckistan copeks....that is tooo funny. The Canadian people are great, I have Canadian heritage...yet I too would question how things are run in the great white north. All it takes to get elected is good hair, right DNA, a hammer in one hand and a sickle in the other..just ask the truckers.
