Thunder Products Clutching flashes ECU's for Precision EFI also and can answer any questions you may have.
We have done a couple Stage 4 complete setups now for customers.
Stage 4 runs 17 psi
That is right from Precision EFI. The key is using the boost efficiently, timing and fuel. Evolution Powersports did the same thing and honestly made more power than other flashes with more boost. Just putting more boost to it isn't what makes power.
I had PEFI Stage 3 for last 2 years and it was a beast. Ran flawless at 18 lbs of boost (on my gage) pump gas. I think quality-wise they are right up there with the best there is. I probably wouldn't rate their customer service (which is VERY IMPORTANT) as high.
I have now graduated for this coming season to their Stage 4 (which is advertised as 320HP) on pump gas. Time will tell if it runs as nice as the Stage 3.

What psi does the stage 4 run ?

How was that header install? Any details you care to share (as in difficulty of install, fitment, etc.)?Supposedly close to 19 but the big difference is air flow due to headers (make more power with same boost).

I spoke to Dave at Hurricane, and have decided to have them do their 998 Pro Mod Engine Build Pro, and install their Hurricane Race Trail Power Kit, on my sled.
This should be fun!

Is this for trail?
They are starting to really crack down on mufflers in the County so be careful.
I know 3 that paid the over $300 fine. One was just a MOD muff, but they measured the exhaust outlet. He was told if he got caught after that day, they would impound his sled.

Hi Marc,
Yup, 'really looking forward to it!
Hi Steve,
Yes, the main trails/intersections in the County are well patrolled, but I usually ride remote and underutilized trails/logging roads that the fish police fear to tread.

Fit as advertised - had to modify stock heat shield which I already knew. Welding and workmanship is great. How was that header install? Any details you care to share (as in difficulty of install, fitment, etc.)?
I'm thinking I might abandon the stock heat shields and go with the turbo blankets that Tommcat Performance sells. Not sure yet.

Has anyone tried the PEFI multimap? I’m curious how the economy map works.

Rail Road beds BORE me after the first day
Stve there’s tons of trails to ride up there besides Beds. But last year at Xmas, when you were there, everything got wiped out two days prior with 3 inches of rain and 58 degrees, which killed all the trails/everything.
If they didn’t get the 8 inches on the night of the 27th...it would have been unrideable. That’s why last December, everybody had to stick to the beds mostly. Everything else got destroyed and then froze solid...as you saw when I tried to take us on the “boarder trail”..where we had to turn around. So we had to do, what we had to do at that time....otherwise it (the county)has got absolutely everything. Had you gone a week prior, it was absolutely Epic, everything was opened and Groomed. Just bad timing unfortunately last Xmas.

Yep and I have been warned about this upcoming season. Seems like the warden’s central office for our area, invited some people in the know, concerning how to distinguish modded exhaust and or aftermarket exhaust. They do realize that many are trying their best to cover up the non stock mufflers, and without a tear down on some a DB test may be added in the future for those!
They are lurking on this site, be careful what pics and things you post concerning, because your name is all over this site and is quite easy to share, if you get my drift!
