Is that some of your plastic welding on the console just above your new intake? The soldering iron trick works extremely well. I fixed one of my old Nytro fuel tanks that way and it held up just fine. It diffidently a good thing to not be afraid to try new task thing and expand your skill set.

Yes it is, that corner was really a challenge i got cracks in it until i cutted up small pieces of paperclips that i melted into the plastic in corners and areas with more stress.
the plastic sheets i used had a different kind och plastic in it so it did not mate good to the Pro plastic but i Think i got it now.
The "welds"is not that good loking at the moment but i will drive it and se how it holds up before i finish it.

On the previous side you have more Pictures of the plastic welding.

Try using the plastic from an oil bottle of the same color you are welding on. I found the the oil bottles work the best as filler material.

I needed a thicker flat material for the overall shape so i used the plastic box/luggage that came with the Lynx seat.

Filler material was not a problem i just cut any of the material in stripes, the Lynx plastic from the seat just melted quicker and flowed really well but it was hard to get a good joint to the other plastic that seemed to have a higher melting point, so i used the other material as filler combined with metalclips as reinforcement.

Time to make the rear suspension ready for final install.

I cant have a red front arm.
Gasket Remover was really nice to remove powder coating with.

Some sanding.

i will make some reinforcements on this arm Before powder coating.

Wow that is a great tip about using gasket remover to strip off powder coat paint. Does it come off instantly or do you have to give it some time before it starts breaking down the paint?

Let it sit for a while, i first prepped the surface with a light sanding and cleaned it with acetone, maybe not needed but it felt right.
you probably have some good paint removers over there but the stuff i found here looked to be weak (alkohol based) so the strongest stuff over the counter seemed to be gasket remover.

Nice job on the reinforcements. Built it the way it should have been built and probably didn't add a half pound total.

Thanks !
i forgot to weight it but it did not add much.
The arm got much stiffer, but the flex in the stock arm may work in favor of the "flickability" a bit like the T-motion, but i have seen a few Polaris skids that had ripped the front arm down where it attaches to the rails so i wanted to make it stronger.

I finally got my front shocks, so i put in on the scale and got 636 lbs with coolant, oil and fuel filled up.
I have some easy weight to remove but now its time to ride some and see how it works.
We finally had some snow (about 8 inches) and i was able to make a small testdrive outside the garage.
No Place for longer full throttle pulls but i can feel the boost bulding up (its my first time on a boosted sled)
