Today i decided that i will use the Swedish "ASA Suspension" shocks on my build, its a patented shock with no traditional springs.
it has been around for a couple of years but due to several reasons it has not hit the market, but now they are making a drive.
The technology behind it is really clever and simple but it seems to work really well, its been on a couple of snow cross sleds and its almost no maintenace needed on them, one driver has had the same shock for 7 years!? without even a oil change.
There is no rebound or compression adjusters and no shim stack, it "adjust" itself depending on use, so soft when cruising and gets harder when needed.
It sounds to good to be true but im really looking forward to try it out.
The homepage is going to be updated and a facebook page has been started recently.
a pic. of one of the shock models (it wont have the adjuster lever for snowmobile use)
Is this a pure air shock? No oil, just uses air as the spring, compression and rebound damping medium? I've had two different mountain bike shocks in the past that used only air, no oil. They worked so so. I didn't care for them but I'm curious about what you've posted.

It is oil and nitrogen separated by a membrane.
On their Facebook page they show a comparison of similar Lynx sleds one with Öhlins and one with ASA, equipped with electronic meassuring devices for suspension provided by Öhlins.
At the end of the day the data was gone and ASA never got to know the results from the Öhlins tec. guy. but he lap times where in ASA:s favor.

Drilled the rivet holes and the rear bolt hole for the runningboards and did the final cutting around the holes in the runningboards. With the runningboards in place i could start on the footwells.

Are those the burant boards? If so be carefull, I drove a few Polarises with them last year and I tore up more pants than I wanted to and hurt my knees.. They are to sharp for their own good!

Where did you get the side panels from? I am thinking of trying to find a set at haydays.

Its a Swedish company that makes them. I want them in fiberglass because i think that they have to be modified.
