I think we’re good with the 2020.. only issue is to get that hose out of the air box like you did..
Going for another few day ride in a few days so I will be doing mine today..

Weren't folks doing the rollover valve bypass because the rollover valve was freezing up and malfunctioning? The '20's are heated. Do you think a complete bypass is still necessary? Thanks.
It was also done to keep the air to air cooler clean on the inside so it works more efficiently and to keep the hoses and switches from freezing up from all the crap in them.
The OEM routed it to the airbox now so it can leak out on your clutches before it goes on the ground and back into the intake...

I opened up the side panel to check belt and noticed oily water running down lower side panel, opened the air box to find more frozen oily water.. good one Yamaha ..
Got rid of this problem today..

Being close to open trails I did some testing yesterday”Friday”..
Put some more cat DNA on my sled “skis”, 2014 cat/viper skis with trackers.. so far I’m very impressed, totally different feel than the tuners with snow trackers.
I did have a bit more steering feed back than with the tuners/trackers, a quick centre spring adjustment took that out..
200km ride and I’m loving this sled more and more..

Anyone figure out what that whooping noise is on the 2020’s, is it the roll over value releasing pressure?
Did 900 km last few days up in northern Ontario, Saturday morning was -31c, sled fired right up on first try, my previous apex wouldn’t of started.
Did 191km, timmins to shining tree camp and took 28.5 L of fuel, I’m liking that compared to my apex, I would of been walking if I was on the apex lol..
Seen quite a few sidewinders over last few days. All smiles so far..
For you Ontario guys, Temagami to New Liskeard to Kirkland across to Timmins down to Gogama, Elk Lake and back to New Liskeard, trails are in excellent condition, hard packed and groomed to perfection..

IMO, yes! Unless you want all that oil and water vapor going through your entire intake system. If one puts a catch can or similar on, and does not let it vent to air box, then that effectively does the same thing - gets all that goo out of intake system.

Well guys looks like my season is done for this winter, just over 3500km and very happy with my 2020 ltx gt.
Did 350 km yesterday and 340km today, yesterday we pushed it on fuel as we missed a fuel stop, had 221km on trip as I pulled up to the pumps there was a few sled in front of us, stop sled to wait and it wouldn’t restart and had to pull it 10 feet to the pump lol, did 30km with light on. Sled took 35.5 litres..
All stock clutching with XS belt and I was pulling 8750 rpm on RR bed in Elk Lake area “Ontario”.
Think it’s time to up the HP some and check things over.. Gonna be a long summer..

FYI My 2020 roll over valve froze up , the third time it blew the oil tank "gasket". Heating of valve was working. I bypassed the damn thing and so far so good.

What are the symptoms of having the valve freeze up ?FYI My 2020 roll over valve froze up , the third time it blew the oil tank "gasket". Heating of valve was working. I bypassed the damn thing and so far so good.
At the end of last season my oil tank was also leaking a bit on the lower right side of the tank, but when I took it apart in the spring there wasn’t much gasket material from factory to begin with.

When my ROV would freeze up (overnight COLD outside parking after riding all day) it would always blow oil into the air cleaner and one time it blew the silicone on the so called oil tank. Warrantee but what a PITA. I deleted it. NOTE it didn't matter how long I let the sled warm up either. you don't know its froze until the oil blows.
