Scratchers are no good if going slow and or on trails with not much snow cover..you will over heat and have to stop or throw snow. rear cooler is a must if you like to ride in NH. Ask me how I know. And you will need scratchers as well.. The Duraflex are the best. The attack has an excellent mounting place on the skid up front and does a fine job of throwing snow whether turning or going slow.

Can you point on where you mounted them on the skid? I really couldn't find a good spot.

I use both, scratchers for the hyfax when I'm on ice, rear cooler for low snow conditions. Both are easy to install.

I was away on vacation out West for 5 weeks. No cell mostly or WiFi. I can take a pic if you want tomorrow sometime. There is a bolt there now you just need to remove it and enlarge the hole to 3/8" from 5 16"

I put a rear heat exchanger on my 06 Attak Turbo. Good used ones are hard to find and expensive but a few shops offered their version of new when I was looking. It solved the overheating issue 100%. Installation on this model is time consuming and then one needs to come up with protectors for them! Not at all easy when compared to some older model Yamaha's like the 02-03 Vipers!
Rode all last season with a bud that has a 08 LTX Apex. My Sidewinder overheated on icy or hard packed trails, much like occurs after a warm day and then a cold next morning. My buddies LTX has the rear heat exchanger on his so he never overheats and now I do!!

Simple enough solution. Don’t really want another hole in ski but it serves a purpose. Thanks

Got the scratchers on using the BOP ski scratcher mounts. Looks good and should really dig up some snow! Just not sure how to secure them up if I don’t want to use them or am on pavement and trailer loading and stuff. They don’t stay on top of the ski.

With so many different ski profiles, I have not yet come up with a simple retainer yet that will work on all. Currently I'm exploring a bracket that can be attached to a skag stud. This would eliminate drilling a hole in ski.

Travis that is an excellent idea! And I would buy something like that. I have C&A skis, and the profile towards the back is very low, as you can see in the pic, so not much of spot to mount an eye bolt. Something coming off the skag stud would be perfect!

This is the photo of mine.. if you ever need this mounting. I leave them down alot..in and out of the trailer as well. No issues ever...they never come off the rail themselves. The mount is in a bolt hole already there by Yami. Throws lot's of snow into and on the track. Wife has them too on here LTX

Thanks. That didn't seem like a spot available to me. Hmmm. I did mount the low snow wheels though, so I wouldn't be able to hook them there if I wanted to. I'll start out with them on the skis, and we'll see how it goes.
