Ordered a muffler for my sled, It only has 14 miles on it. I'm wondering if the factory exhaust gasket going from the turbo to the muffler is a "crushable" style or can it be reused being so new? Just curious to whether I should order a new one or not.

Factory spec is 9 ft.lbs in criss-cross pattern, then 18 ft. lbs final in same criss-cross pattern.

From most of the sleds that have come through my shop, MOST sleds they are way over-torqued!
I don’t know if it’s the material of the bolts or what, but these exhaust bolts tighten differently than a regular bolt. I do them with my impact and when they are tight they just stop. A normal bolt will keep tightening slowly till the head snaps off if you hold it. Never had an issue removing and installing many times.

Bingo.. And then the guy posts why his bolt broke off taking bolts out.. I literally just snug mine with anti seize

Just don’t over torque them and yes, use some Nickel anti seize.
I find that even if I do both, they come out hard again next time unless I use a bit of heat on those bolts!

Probably has something to do with hot and cold, expansion and shrinking!

Seen sparks fly off the bolts the first time in un torqued them.

Sparks fly you using air or electric tools on them ?

I've re-used it a dozen times without issue.

I've found chasing the threads, cleaning them has worked well prior to reinstall as well. I haven't had any problems yet torquing to 10ish ft lbs w/nickel antisieze getting the bolts out multiple times. Always have reused the stock gasket.
