My brother has a supercharged FX Phazer & we’re wondering if a 22 or 23 tooth gear would give it more top end & if so where can we find one? I have heard that the GT has a 20 tooth and more top end then the FX 18 tooth.

tallest top gear for the phazer is that 20 tooth. never heard of a 22 or 23 tooth top gear.

Ok thanks, good to know.

When I owned a phazer, my late father in law made me a 22 tooth to gear by lathing a standard width 22 down. They are powder metal so he did this by using a hand grinder while spinning it in the lathe.

I guess that could be an option too. Do you know where the 22 tooth gear came from & was any modification needed to fit it onto the splines?

You would start with a HYVO gear that fits a Viper 700 or SRX 700. Same spline and tooth profile.

Great thank you. Do you know if we can get buy with the existing chain?
