Also, my friend's BVS's breathing air holes constantly froze up. We had to stop very frequently to dig the ice out of the air holes. Definetly would not buy one of those.

I dont know of anybody who has the breathing holes freeze up on the BV2S. Whenever I see this comment, as in numerous threads in the past, it always seems that it is the Modular that freezes up, not the BV.

The best helmet there is IMHO, the BV2s

And that is not meant to imply that the Scorpian is not a good helmet as well ;)!

I agree. My Son and two freinds had them in very cold temps up north last year and they all agreed that they were the warmest fog free helmet the ever owned. On the other hand another freind with us had the Doo modular that frequently froze up to the point he couldn't breath. I think that the problem some people are having with the BVS helmet are they either don't fit them right or their head isn't right for them. Also an important thing to remember is that you should use the facemask designed for the BVS helmet or you may end up with gaps in the breather mask that would render the helmet useless.

Anyone looking to buy Scorpion EXO 400 Matte Black.
I am selling it for a friend.
He has only worn it twice.
He pinched a nerve in his neck and wont be riding any more this year.
He seemed to like the helmet real well too.
Got it about two weeks ago.
I is a size 3XL and they do seem to run a little small.
Send me a PM if interested.
later

Has anyone had a chance to ride with their new EXO helmet yet?? I just ordered mine and wondered how people like it.

;)!

I can tell you that it's extremely comfortable when you try it on. I'll be doing a 600 mile ride starting on Boxing Day.....let you then.

I have the EXO 400 helmet with heated shield. I got it directly from the company as there were no dealers for it in my area (CNY) and I didn't want the Ski Doo one. Fits my fat head good (XXXL). The XXXL is not Snell rated but nothing I can do about the size of my head. Lots of nice features on it. It made hooking up my heated shield on the sled easy. I knew it had power when I saw the green LED light up. One of the only helmets I tried on that I could still use the breath deflecter. I would only use that on super cold days though.

hoping to get there dealership in Alaska

I talked with Jody in Cali the last two days on what it takes to become a dealer and must say very nice folks to deal with. I hope for some time about two months to try out there heated shield version. I will let you know the details later I have had 3 ski doo 25 s and one modulor set up both were great but high cost is all looking for less money model.

How are they working?

I bought two of these helmets and have not used them yet. My sister used her's this past weekend and said it frosted up bad. Anyone else have any ride reports?

im extremely disappointed with the helmet..cold, leaky would be the way i would describe it.Its obviously a summer helmet disguised as a winter helmet.

i've got the exo 400 brp version, came w/the extra shield. does anyone know where to get the electric shield for these? i got it at a skidoo/yamaha dealer, i'm guessing that is where i should go

Yes, or directly to SCORPION online.

My son and I tried ours today for the first time. It was around 5 to 9 deg. F. We both have heated shields. Not impressed at all. Cold and the shield frosted on both. Cold air leaked in on our foreheads and chins. The nose guard became wet with our breath and was uncomfortable on our noses. I do not recomend.

Realy? I ran mine for the first time this weekend with great success. I do not run the chin piece or the nose piece. (Coleman State Park)It was cold all weekend with a ton of snow dust being kicked up. Never once fogged on me. I even forgot to plug it in this morning on our way out to the truck and it still did not fog. As for draft it was very minimal. No more than HJC's.
