Season 2009 -2010 TY Mileage IKE

Way cool, pretty good snow and a great straight ahead trail to ride on, I envy you guys. We have very little snow still :-(

My cousin and my brother came to visit. We went for a ride in a cold afternoon here. When we started it was -13c and when we came back 2,5 hours later it was allready down to -21c...

Weather forecast has promised below -30 c temps here for next week. If that happens, not too many km´s for me. I don´t like that kind of weather too much.

Jari (my cousin) had a new ´08 Lynx RE 600 SDI and Sami (my brother) rode his project ´98 Vmax XTC (you can read more about it here --> http://www.totallyamaha.net/forums/show ... hp?t=62213 ).

The SDI had a freak problem, it lost lots of fuel. In a 76 km ride it only had about 1/4 left in the tank when we came back. Sled had a strong odor of fuel on it too. So, servicetime for it. It still has warranty for this season, so they´ll fix it for no charge.

RE 600 SDI and my Warrior GT in the sunset. We were high enough altitude to see a small climpse of the sun.

We made a fire to warm up here. Lynx and XTC had so low windshield that boys were freezing their hands. I had my gauntlets on so I was fine.

Nice pics, specially of the sun. Here up north we're in darkness already, not much light at noon and only a few hours of grey and blue before the black night sets in.

We have -15C or 5F outside right now, and it's blowing. Hope it stays like this for a week or more to freeze up the largest lakes and rivers. Then some more snow would have been nice

Pretty much that. First day at work today after 3 weeks. Time does fly!

The fuel problem is solved on the Lynx. Fuelpumps gasget was leaking fuel out. Sled is now serviced and running again.

Cold weather you've got brrrr.
We're at -15 to -19, right now we're at -16C, We've got 5cm of snow since yesterday with more to come for the weekend when weather turns to north west and the low pressure sends in humid air from the arctic ocean Bring on the snow.

Went for short spin with my 6 year old son when the temps got a bit warmer. Dark around here now...

Nice snow, but we could use some more.

Today I took my Warrior to earn it´s pay. I was checking out one of our winter roads. We have to ice it over, so it can hold a excavator. Peatlands here freeze up pretty good when we run over them with ATV´s and snowmobiles.

We decent snow, but could use some more.

Not any riding really in 3 weeks now. Did some on christmas time, but only to get a tree for my in-laws.

For a 3rd week in row we are at -30c here. I´ll post some pics from new years etc later

Been really busy lately. We bought a house 2 weeks back, and been moving stuff over ever since. Over 4 weeks from the last ride already.... Bummer.

My last ride was over a month ago... LOL

I did 65 km´s on christmas time. Wayy too cold to ride for me most of the time + we moved our stuff to thet house we bought. It has warm 2 place garage + one cold garage on the backyard for my Land Cruiser. Now the servicing of my cars and sleds is way easier.

Today I went for the first time from our house to the trails. First we had to find the start of the trail, Pretty easy since I live close to it now

Out working today. Rode near the shores of the Porttipahta resevoir today. Loggers were at work there and I went check how the guys are doing over there.

Pretty nice weather. Seems like the cold dark part of the winter is letting go and the spring is right around the corner. Best part of the season is ahead of us!!

Plenty of snow now. 136 Warrior what I got is too short for serious offtrail riding by now. That is one of the reasons why I´m converting it soon to 144 track. I hope it floats a little better then.
