Started to convert my skid to 144 yesterday. We took the skid out just to find out that it was broken. I´ll post pics of later today.

So, I´ll take the Öhlins out to be serviced too. And we´ll have to get that thing welded up. I´ll try my luck with the Yamaha too though. I want them to run the vin # of my sled just check has all the warranty work on the skid been done by the previous owner. Yamaha here has new re-enforced MONO´s for customers.

Today I got an answer from Yamaha. They will replace my cracked mono-arm with a new one. even though my sled is out of warranty.

That is customer service!

Today I got new MONO-arm. Looks quite good. I´ll post pics of the assembly etc today.

My brother will come and help with the install + he´ll be working on his 440 X REV. He has to change to front bulkhead, again.

My brothers 440 X in pieces... He bent the front bulkhead second time this season. He races that sled in crosscountry races here.

all done. That sled is SO EASY to work on compared to my Warrior.

Extensions are now compleate. Haven´t really tested how did it affect the ride, but my brother said thet newly shimmed Öhlins and the LYNX springs in the front GYT-R shocks made a difference to the better. Plus the added traction of the 144 track makes the hole shots much better. Still need 21 or 22 tooth upper gear though. Stock 23 / 38 is too tall for my kind of riding.

Those LYNX KYB springs. They add 2,5 cm ( 1 inch) to the ride hight of my sled.

crappy pic I took today.

144 track with 1,5 inch paddles works great. So much more grip. Plus the newly setup Öhlins and the new springs in the front make this sled best I´ve ever had. No more wild kick backs from the skid, it´s stays flat easy to handle. Roitema Oy (Tero Lehtoranta) made a fantastic job shimming my Öhlins .

Today I took my sled with me out in the field. In last 2 weeks we have had some serious snowfall. Most challenging conditions in years on our worksites.

I have to admit that I did not expect my sled to change so much after it was converted to 144 track. But the change is absolutely great. It goes so much better in the deep.

144 Warrior.

After 3 hours of going trough powder. Have to think something to block the snowbuildup. Probably some mesh material on the cone etc.

I'm going from 136 to 144 on my turbo sled and from 121 to 136 on my stock Apex. The 136 x 1.25 Ripsaw from the turbo will be studded before it goes in on the Apex, the turbo sled is getting a 144 x 1.5 Crossover track. Hope to have all work done before easter holidays. We have got some decent snow as well lately

Today at work I went to check out new forestryroad at one of our worksites. Looked quite good. Theese roads are not permanet, theese will be gone soon as winter is over. So only for wintertime use.

Saw some wildlife today. One goldeneagle and 4 moose.

My fieldequipment: tankbag with maps, GPS, compass, torch etc. Fieldcomputer with GPS, and backpack with shovel, food etc.
