Has anyone else had the bushing come out of your secondary and destroy your bearing?

Just had a customer earlier in the week that had this happen. I figured it was a fluke as I had not heard of it happening much.

Had same thing happen on a 2006 vector. Just guessing on the mileage 6000?

Damn rebuilt both clutches, got 9 miles and felt a vibration by my left foot.
Got worse if I went over 30 mph.
Stopped trailside, both clutches super hot.....
One roller flat spotted.
Just took it apart, secondary clutch bushing half way out.
This was a new oem bushing.
Now what????
Just when you think it's safe to go ride the winder......

Your lucky you felt a vibration and caught it. I didn't feel anything other than the sled not pulling rpm. Once I noticed it was too late. At least I have heat in the garage. I can however think of a few things I'd rather be doing on a Saturday.Damn rebuilt both clutches, got 9 miles and felt a vibration by my left foot.

Yea seems it doesn't end... My helix bushing took a beating also, time to order more parts.Your lucky you felt a vibration and caught it. I didn't feel anything other than the sled not pulling rpm. Once I noticed it was too late. At least I have heat in the garage. I can however think of a few things I'd rather be doing on a Saturday.
It got real loud when the clutch started to open past 30 plus mph.
And I was babying the sled to break in a new belt. Guess that saved a lot more damage.
I need to order more rollers, and at least a new bushing for the helix. Not sure why it moved???

Yikes. I’d be looking for another used sheave or complete secondary as I don’t think you will have any luck with another bushing. I hope I’m wrong for your sake.

The bushing is pressed in. I have replaced mine. No issues. If your concerned after installing new bushing. Put some loc tite 290 in to fill the slight void between bushing and secondary. Put a couple drops after install let it seep into void. It will take heat to remove it again though.

Exact same thing happened to me last winter. Pictures look the same. First time that I have ever been left stranded on a Yamaha....can't even blame it on Cat DNA....Yamaha clutches. I installed a new replacement bushing with Loctite and it started to move so I am going to try an Oilite bushing instead.
