No kidding... My sled NEVER runs at 160! It's always around 180 unless in low snow.

I'm curious, trying to figure something out.
You've been watching running temp allot over the past while.
Will your sled run and maintain 180 even on cold days like -15C or -20 C?
Or will it run just even a little cooler like 175...
Since the t-stat is a 170 it should start to open right around there.
If it is cold enough outside air... The coolant temp should be pushed down just a little bit.

On long lake pulls on cold days (after I fixed my front cooler icing issue) it would drive the temp down to just over 170, average trail temps on normal days with normal snow would cycle between around 178 to 190, I imagine this cycling is from ice forming and clearing around the front cooler.

Thanks, great info. Think I'm going to need to install a gauge this year.
I might have a gauge kicking around my garage someplace. (although maybe easier to buy one than to find one, Ha!)
I'm going to assume the cycle between 178 to 190 is more likely t-stat opening and closing to maintain as you drive through various snow, start and stop etc.
Another question...
What temp does your dash light go off at start-up ??
Cheers

Photo of the H-Stealth while I was mocking up how to carry more fuel on the xtx. Just waiting on the turnout and I'll mount the roto style fuel can.
I was able to move the stock tail light and it should work out well.
Cheers

Mach9,

Nice pic! Very hidden! Working on a turnout tip, I hope to ship you a prototype this week. Sorry for the delay.

Shakedown test ride tonight.
Damn she pulls hard 60mph to 100.
Didn't have any trouble hitting 100 on the speedo.
That was pushin it for the trails around my place.
Can't say I notice any losses anywhere.
Swapped out the stock T-stat for a cooler one.
Was -12C and had water temp running at 170F for awhile.
But once I let it idle up to 210F I couldn't get it back down much below 180F. I have the Roset top vent installed, but more vents are on order.

Not to hijack, but can you provide the details on the can?

Current muffler is 16", weighs about 2-3lbs, stealth core ...makes 3-4hp over stock on it's own with no losses anywhere...can be bought as a slipon to stock header..hope that answers any questions Mewaschuk

That's why I laugh at people who say the full exhaust or header does not do much and is a waste of money...

After riding my sled with the exhaust and without...I'll never run it stock again....the Hindle system has HUGE mid range and top end pull!

how about 0-60..any noticeable difference in the bottom end where the Dyno showed the Stock header to be alittle stronger?

Guys,

We just did a video with the hidden Nytro system. Check out the Hindle facebook page.

Are you going to have PC 5 Maps available for your Exhaust? im guessing you cant run without some sort of Fuel controller.

You might want to check out the very first post of this thread and have a look a the graph....the stock header is not stronger in the bottom end when you do the air box mod and use a fuel controller....with these mods it strong from bottom to top...besides, you really don't spend much time in the bottom end, most of your riding is done in the midrange.

I was just wondering because im more interested in 0-90MPH then topend MPH..660 foot Drag racing.the Graph in the first post started at 5000rpm i though...Wish i was close to a Dyno..i would feel alittle better about spending the money on a exhaust if i knew i could tune it with my PC 5 correctly.

We did run on the dyno a few times below 5000rpm to correct the AF with the PCV. We had to make big chages to the map down low. On snow from 0 when the clutch engages (ah what 3000rpm? my stupid digital rpm screen can't tell me with any accuracy) at full throttle it launches hard. Definite hp in the lower rev range. Afterall... We opened up the intake and exhaust big time. With 18+ hp gain, obviously this is flowing a ton more air across the entire rpm range.
