I just wanted to post that Snow Tech magazine featured my SideWinder in last months issue, and for those who don't get the magazine they just posted the article on their web site today: https://www.snowtechmagazine.com/custom-sled-build-2017-yamaha-sidewinder/

Hopefully this article will give you some ideas for your own sled!

PS......I was sure to give the big boss (aka MrSled) and TY a shout out in the article.

you did a great job on that sled. I enjoyed the article.

Really enjoyed that article! Nice job and sweet sled!

Thank you Don!! I have collected a few of that months Magazine so I can add it to my wall of shame :). I dont get mentioned much in magazines or out on the internet unless I toss some troll from the site so its really a nice feeling to know that someone out there take the time to give us some kind of props.

Congrats Don! That is an incredible article, kudos to you and all your hard work!

I especially love the unique character you put into her in the design, such a beauty.

Dan

When the other grand pa's pull out pictures of their grand children at the Bingo tournament, do you pull out a laminated picture of your sled? That would be very OCDish...

Don is a wicked, evil, sinister person, stop kissing up to him. If it wasn't for his dastardly deeds and repeatedly shoving them in my face here on TY, on the web, in print and in real-time at Haydays, I'd have a several hundred extra $ in my savings account and wouldn't be compelled to get a wrap from the same brilliant designer he found. I'm the victim - Don is a predator.

50 years young. Look 40 & act 20. VXR1, AKA Don, is a very young 60. His enthusiasm on this site & about his sled is what puts most of us TYers in the "zany" category. Nothing brings out the kid in me like a cold crisp morning & the ground covered in white. I always think back to 1972 in South Windsor Connecticut when my parents were pulling me & my sister in a caboose, when we became detached & my parents kept going! I ran down the trail screaming & crying. Another sledder came along & brought us to our truck. Since then, i just sort of "bond" with people who are passionate about snowmobiles. That's why there are a dozen or so "zany" guys that have been on this site ALL freakin' summer that i sort of feel a "connection" to....including our SHOW OFF Don, aka VXR1

Don was great when I asked about his wrap and Robb, this is what makes TY such a great community. I've learned so much over the years and owe so much to this group.
