Sidewinder performance?

A friend has a new this year 2017 Sidewinder and is experiencing very poor gas mileage and performance. He's comparing his to my Vector so apples & oranges, but he's getting about 12-15 MPG CDN and his top speed is just over the C note. Is this normal?? I think that there may be a "break in chip" in the system, could this be?? Any help will make him happy..

Is it brand new/leftover?? I know my 18 has just over 400 miles on it, and it seems to be getting better/faster every 50 miles or so. I buddy of mine, we got them the same day(different dealers), mine is an RTX, and his is an LTX, and we started riding them the same day, and the performance was pretty even all things considered(RTX a lil quicker out of the hole/transfer weight better it seemed). We both saw similar top end speeds on a Rail Bed of around 106 mph....but it gets there in a Flash. No stock sled today can hang with the acceleration and pull that this thing seems to have. The speedo's are much more accurate than my Apex Dream-meter was, so take that into consideration too. I was told by multiple dealers that it takes a good 1000 miles to start seeing it's true and full power. His should improve as he puts miles on it...unless it seems like a real dog???

First night riding mine was night and day difference from when I loaded it on the trailer the last time I rode it....meaning it kept getting faster and faster as I put the miles on it. Hopefully his will too.
