Hey guys,
Next year on top of changing my track, I would like to change my ski for a wider model to provide some more front float. I had C&A in the past and I won't get them again. I am looking at Curve, Slydog. Or other recommendations that you might have.
I ride 80% trail. 20% off.

How do they perform in the powder?

Phazer/Nytro MTX skis, should be able to find takeoffs cheap. Good ski both on and off trail. Deeper keel + 4.5” wide base for handling like a trail ski with 1”+ wings on the sides for flotation in powder.

That would be my first pick if I could find some used one.

Imo those wide skis look the best in the phazers. If they had blue in the wide ones they would be on my sled.

The 150mm tuners work pretty good, had them on my 14 xtx Phazer, they are 6" wide.

If it was just look, I would go for the Slydog Attack ski. But I am on an older sled and I don't want to spend too much money on it.

They float better than the regular ski on the older model? I am looking at getting more front end lift in the powder but I don’t want to sacrifice trail handling.

they are a lot better than the stock skis in the powder. they do not turn like mtx skis do but do keep the nose up in the powder. ran them on my rx war and the 2011 xtx before they ended up on the phazer.

Yes, I found they do get more lift in the powder than the stock 135mm and handle really good on the trail, I was glad I bought them no darting or hunting. They float better than the regular ski on the older model? Do they really spray snow at the skid slider like they advertise? If I find a good deal on Curves, I might go this way. Are you using the leading edge option on yours? Any darting issue?

they spray a lot of snow as when i cool my feet when riding they get hit with chunks coming from the ski.
not using the leading edge as it was not out when i bought mine. i do have the ski shim mod on it and i have no darting with the toe set properly.

I have Simmons skis on mine and they work great. On trail or off. Kinda like they scoop the snow under them. The dual runners make it feel like it’s on rails. It goes where you point it.

I have done some research and I am surprised that the price of the Tuner ski is actually cheaper than my stock one. Most reviews that I read seems like they performed really good. It also looks like I don't have to change the ski bushing or other parts.
I am considering getting a pair.
What set up should I run for carbides if I go this way?
