I’m put C&A on my sidewinder do I need to shim the ski like we did on the other yamaha

I have C&A xpt's - the stock rubbers seem to have a bit of shim already built in.
How do I know this? - Three seasons ago I shimmed mine just an 1/8 and you could visibly see that there was too much wear on the back of the carbides. The stock carbide distributes the weight pretty evenly - maybe a bit on the nose but handling and wear was better leaving them stock.
