Stock gearing with the max 16 tune is way under geared. You could probably pull past 1:1 ratio with 24/41 on ice. Thing should hit 140 on ice with that tune.

If your over 9100 rpm you would likely see 145
Only if the Pucker factor didnt suck the whole seat right in! Wow I never thought those speeds would be seen on a Trail sled. Scary fast. Be careful guys.If your over 9100 rpm you would likely see 145

Should make a great fast trail sled also. The stock 35/39 helix and weaker pink secondary spring seems to be working well with that tune. Contrary to how people are setting up their sleds with quick spool tunes.
How is the back shift , etc on the trail. I will be setting up my Hurricane 225,240,270 tune next week and will be playing with a couple of sec springs and helixes. Too bad all our snow got wiped out.

That was on glare ice too remember...big difference there than snow....Only if the Pucker factor didnt suck the whole seat right in! Wow I never thought those speeds would be seen on a Trail sled. Scary fast. Be careful guys.
I know. Alot faster. And I also know the feeling of back end stepping out at 100mph on Glare ice. Has put me back in trailer more than once. Use your instincts. Dont let someone talk you into something stupid. That was on glare ice too remember...big difference there than snow....

Exactly This!!!
Don’t want to get hurt..or at the very least ruin your day with a wrecked or damaged sled. Not worth any of that!

I get the glare ice thing but how realistic are those speeds when you add some snow (snow-mo-bile lol)to the mix? I bet you lose 15+ mph in the loose stuff. Still very impressive though!

Backshift isn't the greatest with that secondary setup. Wrapping it 6-1 will help but if you want it really snappy you would probably have to change helix and spring.

You are right, you will lose a good amount of speed on snow. I was just trying to test where it gears out

Well you found out, lol! The SRX is the best looking sled to date and is appearing to be one of the fastest too.You are right, you will lose a good amount of speed on snow. I was just trying to test where it gears out
