I'm really disappointed in the posters that started this thread. Ernie has been civil, prepared a track, and even offered to share his TD GPS.
I ran grass sleds from 1997 through 2001, so I am more than familiar with 'talk' - and the expression is 'talk is cheap'.
I actually thought about loading up to come watch this, and to get some riding in, and I'm over 4 hours away.
The OP should have been there.

I'm really disappointed in the posters that started this thread. Ernie has been civil, prepared a track, and even offered to share his TD GPS.
I ran grass sleds from 1997 through 2001, so I am more than familiar with 'talk' - and the expression is 'talk is cheap'.
I actually thought about loading up to come watch this, and to get some riding in, and I'm over 4 hours away.
The OP should have been there.

Some people do have lives and other plans. Because someone says show up to this does not always mean it is possible for everyone to come.

Agreed in fact plans changed when we're able to have a nice ride from novar to Parry sound as a group we jumped at the chance.we didn't get back till past 10 pm and let's face it were old and didn't move around to well the next day LOL first weekend in the past 3-4 we've missed having said that our track at home were hoping to have rolling in the next 2 weeks and like always anyone is welcome who knows maybe it will be another thread of NON believers and Crazy fast Speeds More to come!!!! Think Snow!!! that's what's great about this sport ya meet all kinds of people.

That's all fine and dandy, but Ernie posted on Saturday that a track was being cleared and ready for Sunday.
All that was needed was a simple message here saying you were busy.
Hopefully this event goes down in the not to distant future.

Muskoka some guys just trail ride now but have been there done that and haven't forgotten logistics and common sense. The fact that "your group doesn't answer to anybody" isn't what nitro is saying nor did he make any big claims. If i was Ernie and drove all the way up there to find crickets i'd be thinking two things.

I'd be thinking as well if I hadn't heard anything FRI SAT why would I drive Sunday unless I was already going. Ernie knows when to arrive and where I go live on FB and our group is always there Winter has just started.in fact another get together has just been posted for Lake Couch in a few weeks.maybe we can hit those speeds on a different lake time will tell.

My racing days are over. However, I am considering ordering the TD GPS. Where I live we have had poor snowfall, when conditions improve I'll post some top speeds.
Nothing will be good in elapsed time, as I don't have much for studs, just ice ripper carbide tips.
