That's funny- I had a 17 850 Renegade last year- never had a single issue - except for the sore jaw from grinning and also couldn't beat a Sidewinder one on one down the lake.

There are guys on DooTalk waiting for weeks and weeks for BRP to fix their brand new 850's so they can get back to riding. All this talk about 4 stroke reliability is just talk. I have read about many 850 failures but the Doo guys won't admit it because they bought into the reliability claim. It's still a 2 stroke and I don't think they will be anymore reliable than the 800 they are replacing. We have issues with our Winders but they also have similar issues along with engines that can blow at anytime.

Well......yeah. skidoo 850s are now being built to be as reliable as any four stroke made. Go ahead, just ask them!

Coming across a field not very fast and all of a sudden a weird noise... Thought it was a belt blowing but never quite heard it like this before, pull cover belt is fine, start back up and try to move but all I hear is grinding. Try reverse and it moves fine, try forward again and nothing but grinding, dealer says probably a bad top gear but of course he can't have it fixed till maybe Saturday ( I took today and tomorrow off to ride cause rain and high Fortys on the way). So I hitch hike back to my truck and trailer go pick sled up off the trail and drop it to him. Couple this with a top speed of 104 mph any him pissing me off its off to the doo dealer as soon as I post this.

How coincidental that Joe got a pic of that "one guy" lol. That's luck right there. Nice work joe......
Easy Ken......oh and yeah you're right. It was his fault. Should have bought a Polaris! At least he'd still be riding.
