Aren't all used sleds sold as "mint"...lol
if he wanted actual "mint" used sidewinder yours would have been the one to buy!!
Yup, anything listed on the used market is always mint and in perfect condition, nothing wrong at all. No idea how those people can sleep at night, I felt compelled to tell people about every little problem when I sold my 2 confusions so they knew what they were buying (and still got top dollar this year).

How many miles are on that sled?
I was considering letting my driveshaft be this year (it already has 1200 miles without mcwedgey) and replacing it next year after all the bad shafts are out of the supply chain while doing the track next fall...

This one has 8000km! But the brake rotor was hit so I am sure this is the root cause for destroying the bearing!! the loose fitted bearing most likely contributed also to the messHow many miles are on that sled?

If shaft not worn add retaining compound and run it

FYI- many good used calipers available from the mountain guys out west. Many with very few miles on them. eBay $30-$40I will be listing and pricing parts today and getting him a total.
I bet a new brake caliper isn't cheap.
The guy bought the winder from someone who deliberately covered up some damage and sold it.
There was allot of effort put into covering up.the damage.
New they're about $250 - $300.

What a pile of B.S. Yamaha knows they are junk but gotta sell them all off. Why m I not surprised? Here is a quote from Allen Ulmer
'I saw it as well, it was a Live Q&A. Top gear bushing has not been changed. Driveshaft clutch side bearing area has been addressed on 2021 models, but there's still old shafts in parts inventory that will have to get used up before you'll see the upgraded shaft coming through the parts side of things."

This might be a first. My buddy had a new shaft (allegedly) installed by a dealer last summer that was under warranty. He had the BOP saver and set it to 45lbs. All should be good...right? Not at all, we knew something wasn't right when we pulled the caliper for a bearing change and it just slid off the new shaft. Put the new SKF bearing on the shaft and were blown away by how loose it was. We pulled the shaft at this point and put a mic on it and it had worn over 10 thousands. Here is the shitty part, written on the shaft with a yellow grease marker was "17 ZR 9000". His sled is a 18 Tcat. I think the dealer pulled a fast one here. Not only do individuals cover up damage but so do dealers. Really good , honest dealers are hard to come by.I will be listing and pricing parts today and getting him a total.
