Just got my powderlites stage 1 and im trying to get the boost down to 10-11.... Yet when im WOT Ic 15+!!!! scared to even start it. Im trying to extend the rod next to the turbo and Im not seeing a drop in boost? mabe im turning it the wrong way? Please help.
You need less presure on the the waste gate. You turn it enuff it will lower your boost.

So i need to draw the rod away from where it bends down and hits the waste gate???? and if so how much??

Longer rod = less pre-load on actuator = lower boost.

Yeah thats what my dealer said but ive turned it to wha ti think longer rod like 4+ turns and i seen allmost no differnce

Are you sure there is nothing obstructing the free movement of that rod? Regardless, 4 turns is not going to drop your boost by much more than 1 - 1.5 lbs

the actuator is what the rod plugs in to yes? if so wouldnt i want to shorten it to relive pressure on it?

My dealer said to have a 2 inch gap from back of rod to nut *thread showing* im a little over 1 inch right now.. but if i make the rod longer wouldnt it put pressure??

lenthen the rod to lower pressure.

I know, but do i push the rod in to the acuator or draw it back. I pulled the rod away from the acuator and it seems to be even worse..

I'll give it a try, by shortening the linkage from the actuator to the waste gate you will be required to pull the rod away from the actuator to connect it to the waste gate (thereby depressing the spring in the actuator which will require more boost pressure to open). If you lengthen the connecting rod you decrease the the actuator spring preload therby reducing boost pressure to open the waste gate. If your connecting rod is 1mm short of connecting to the waste gate it should take 11.5 psi boost to open the waste gate.

the rod need to be longer also look if it is not hitting the heat sheild max boost pump fuel 10 to 11 psi

push it into the actuator lenghtening the over all lenthg between the actuator and waste gate

either way it seems to work with it self changing nothing.. when i pull rod from near the waste gate it just gets stored in the Long nut in the middle.. causing no change at all. and vise versa.. the only thing I can see its competly take the rod off the long nut in the middle and draw more rod out of the back near waste gate then reconnnect the rod to middle nut wich would give me longer rod and push Back on the waste gate lever and push in on the acuator. not shure if u guys have this same set up.. just a powder lites kit. didnt think i would pick at this sled for 10+ hr's first day just trying to lower boost and still not get to ride all weekend. I need to know exactly what to do im allrdy pushing like 15 boost at 3\4 trottle and peg 10 just by playing with the trottle at like 10 mph... cant afford to go the wrong way on 93 oct\25% c12 when im allrdy pushing that much boost. any one have pic's?

Changing the rod length will not give you the change your looking for.
buy a manual boost controller.
