I just wanted to take a minute to say how awesome my two sidewinders really are. I’ve had zero problems other than my absolute displeasure in the tuner skis. They were not good. Pilot 6.9’s cured that. I have a 2018 xtx se 137, and 2021 srx. Both sleds are just a pleasure to drive. I spend most of my time on the srx. It is absolutely incredible at 270hp. 144 chisels for trail riding is great. A flick of the throttle and the front end hops over any little roller on the trail. The new skis are great but with all the added traction I need a little more than stock carbide. They are fine on hard pack but ice they are not as nimble as I want them to be. All in all my srx is the best sled I’ve ever driven by quite a bit. My vmax 4 handles pretty damn good in the flat twisties but add any bumps and forget about it. I rode an apex once and couldn’t wait to get off it. Terrible handling machine. Srx 2 strokes are great machines but also lack in the suspension and power department comparably. I get it that people have some issues, I’ve taken a few preventative measures to be proactive concerning the known problems but personally I’ve had zero issues.

The engine is what is amazing, if this engine was in a Polaris or Doo chassis you guy's wouldn't be sitting on a Pro cross because you prefer that chassis over anything else.

Ya, I am not so sure. The pro cross out handles the DOO for sure... Polaris??? What so good about the Polaris? The ride would go to the DOO, but I think the Procross just plain handles better than then all. They are all very close, but I know for sure, the DOO handles like crap.

Nothing. I have ridden them. If you like wheelies, driving around corners on one ski, tons of body roll, and general "twitchy" handling then they are for you.

I rode all three brands back to back this weekend. 850VR1, 900T X, and my Sidewinder.

I was expecting to be blown away by the Doo and Polaris. Guess what? They are all snowmobiles and they all didn't feel that different to me.

The perfect sled would be taking the best parts of each and making one sled.

I owned a 900 turbo skidoo last year and rode it for the season. Was not at all impressed with the ride. Procross front end is far superior over the skidoo front end.

What is your ride, Apex?
My 2017 Sidewinder LTX-LE is by far the best handling, riding and most powerful stock performance sled I have ever owned. As with every sled that I have owned, it did need some personalization to make it mine, like MORE power, and other stuff! Just a great FAST sled that rides like nothing before it.

So I have a 2017 RTX LE. But for one initial issue, (there always some with every sled0, I absolutely love it. I always maintain all of my things so that they perform accordingly. I have over 7,200 miles with a tune for 95 % of them with no issues. I am always taken back by how the suspension holds up to such harsh environs. My RX-1 and Apex always needed bushings, idlers or bearings or some kind of part. I have been repacking bearings since I owned this sled and just keep clutches up to par. I noticed this year that the LTX LE is practically the same sled I have in long form but for power steering, which I do not need, and the new geometry of the front end and skid, which may or may not matter in a 129 " sled. I have it handling flat and predicable so for me looks like i'll be riding it for some time unless they come out with something game changing again....they are do.

Been watching some cross country racing this year and cat is winning 80 percent of the time. Couple weeks ago the heavy outdated procross took the top 5 places in the open class best part the top 3 were won on the zr7000 might have been top 5, this is against the latest 600.
