Top Speed Runs NA VIPER

Tomorrow I am off work so will be on the river at Sunrise. GoPro is all charged up! We did get 6" of snow so will have to pack it down but that's about what I was in last year at 106.

This I do not doubt...

Watch out for rough slushy crap if people were on the river during the warm spell and definitely watch for thin ice. Lots of rivers and creeks are wide open.

We got some snow here too. Central part of state is starting to open up. Waiting to see if Clark and Taylor open up for the weekend.

Setback. Was greasing it up and found front arm cracked. Shouldn't affect speed but won't be taking Viper to Muni tomorrow :o|

Wow I guess the RR skid IS quite different. I never really compared the two. The RR front arm is on stubs with no shaft connecting the rails. The shock pivot is on a lower shaft. That explains why the wheels can be inboard on the std skid and not the RR.

Yup. Guess what I am riding this weekend. Broke first arm when valving my stock center shock in the first year. Now I switched to the Axis and bang another arm. Its not fun or cheap getting shocks to work right.

9183@107 man I wish I had a Dayco handy. One more clutch change and I am calling it. Wind pushes me right off track

I did 171km/h (106) @9225rpm your on a roll buddy
I am not done yet. I need more wieght or a Dayco belt. That will get me at 9025recal which I know is where this pipe/header makes power but I think your 108 estimate is reality. I can cheat and suck straps up and 110 would be very close. I am happy. Not sure if it was Drivers or ignition but it sure pulls harder! No vibration. I cannot believe the amount of wieght I had to throw in. To me that always means power was made. It's just at these speeds you need a lot more to gain a little. I am 107 in loose conditions. My 800 cat could only muster 103 gps! That also is over revving. Good day off and I appreciate the encouragement yamamarc. Almost put it away when I saw the broke arm. Thank You
