Nah I am actually pretty happy with the speeds now. It is a 10000 mi trail sled after all or almost 10000. Other than my goal of 110 on snow I really haven't had the need for more speed on trails this year. Will continue trying but sure seems Mother Nature has me beat this year. Good suggestion though.Ever thought of a 14 inch track? They are good for a few MPH for sure

So, do you think the switch was worth it? Can you feel the sled rolling easier? I ask because I am switching tracks and am contemplating taking the extroverts out solely to free up some rolling resistance. I can remember how easy those old ZRT's and XCR's rolled. I know some is due to track angles, suspension travel etc. but I am still wondering if it worth the change.
Also , do you think I would have trouble with the track ratcheting with a 190 turbo if I did go to standard drivers?

This same setup is on my cat 800, granted it's not a turbo but it is a well setup 180 horse sled with long studs. I run the track to spec and there's no ratcheting on any surfaces. Again not a turbo, but it launches harder than a low boost viper would, so I wouldn't worry at all about track ratcheting.
I forgot to ask..on your run..did it go to about 8800 and stay there with slight climb or did it lug down.
Yes I think it was worth it but cant provide proof in numbers. Track definitely rolls much easier especially when it is dry and sticky like if sled is unthawed. I will say that when track is full of snow and wet there is much less difference. My Viper rolls as easy as my 800 RR now dry or wet. Just need some decent conditions and room to make some runs. I have not had to adjust either sleds tracks because of ratcheting. This is kind of odd since SRX I always had to adjust it twice at least to find the sweet spot. I find this suspension and track to need less tension to avoid ratcheting. Good buddy has a 13 Cat Turbo with same Introverts and has never had a issue in 13000mi. I would do it again. Is one of those things where I am just going with my gut feeling that its going to help speed. Sorry for not really being able to prove it. That makes it your call. So, do you think the switch was worth it? Can you feel the sled rolling easier? Stayed there with a slow climb up MPH came up right with RPM but that last run 104 was all it had. Any slight hill, deeper snow,Head in wind or lift of throttle it lost speed. Never lugged down no change in tone of engine. Just loses rpm and mph if any poor conditions are encountered.I forgot to ask..on your run..did it go to about 8800 and stay there with slight climb or did it lug down.

Hey Cannondale, where did you get the introverts? I can't find them listed anywhere. Do they look the same as the extros just without the nubs? I could always turn mine down... mine is a 137". You think they'll still work ok?
They will work just fine. You are not going to want to cut yours. There would be holes left.Hey Cannondale, where did you get the introverts? I can't find them listed anywhere. Thanks, I just went back and reviewed the thread and it answered all my questions! I can either buy the whole new shaft assembly, or if the shaft is salvageable I can have new intros pressed on.
Well here we go again. 107mph is where I left off. Tomorrow will try for that 110mph again. Bringing all my weights and a brand new XTX belt also slightly different helix on sled and I now have latest Yamaha flash. Same place on river. Wish me luck!

- Yamaha sr viper 15 ltx dx, mpi 190 turbo, straight line header, 38" mtx front end, mtx steering, mtx seat, xtx 141" skid and 2.25" power claw track
2019 sidewinder xtx le, sleeping for now
Have fun and stay safe out there, i wouldn't have gone turbo if the viper was a true 95mph sled in any conditions and 110 in perfect conditions, not that i need those speeds, its just nice to know its there when needed.
