My friend paid me a visit this evening, we went out to the Turbo Garage and installed the last piece of the meth kit, a fail safe solenoid that will bypass the boost controller lowering the boost pressure to waste gate setting.
With the install finished we sat down and talked sleds and summer upgrades, he said, if TT want's my IC he can have it. He has made up his mind and will go with a Powder Lites HP race IC and larger stock injectors. He is going to keep the MCXpress computer and Display unit for the boost controller and datalogging capabilities, priceless
So if you still need the IC it's yours.
Have you got the time to ride any lately. I havn't, will try to get out this weekend tho, will spend the rest of the season trying my best to tune power and clutching. I'll let you know how she runs. Talk to you later buddy.

Hi buddy
Unplugging the meth injection did cure my problem. Sled runs perfectly clean at 12 lbs without meth. I managed to run her up to 222 kmh or 138 mph on the dream meter. I will change plugs to stock CR9E spark plugs and adjust gap to 0.020" or 0.5 mm. It's a pain but I will have to do it to make her run. Can it be done in an evening, wrenching non stop until she's done?

I finnaly got time to start something I have wanted to do since the apex was released in 2006 - install Apex plastic/shrouds on the RX-1. That is why I call the sled RAPEX - apex skid and now plastic
A special thanks to the guys here on TY - hibshman25 and srxspec (ulmer racing) - that has sold me the parts and shipped overseas - I would not have been able to do it with out your help
Parts needed for this mod are:
Apex fuel tank, fuel tank cowling and side shrouds for fuel tank, three side panels on both sides, apex d-frame and steering coloum, clutch cover, turbo hood and PIIA lights with bracket. Removal kit for apex fuel pump (Powderlights or MCX).
You might be able to use the apex fuel pump, but I want to use my Whalbro fuel pump that is already installed with the turbo kit.
The front bumper, nose cone and the three steel brackets in the front can be reused from the RX-1.
Two bracket for the old side panels have to be removed. Rest is bolt on.
The only problem I have seen so far is that the charge tube before the IC cord is touching the front side panel/shroud a little. Charetube is pushing the plastic out about a 1 cm on a short section. I will not do anything before I have tried to install the apex turbo hood. The hood will go over the area - and might eliminated the little fitment issue.
I don't know if it is enough room underneath the new apex turbo hood for the IC - espesially the plenum. But I am pretty sure it will be. Time will tell - LOL. I will get the hood next week.
Here is some pics of the progress so far - I will update pics as parts are beeing installed.
Parts ready for install
RX-1 plastic being removed
First try - apex fuel tank and d-frame and steering coloum not installed yet.

Was it running to much meth or coming in too soon?

Thanks!
I will shoot pics during the install.
I am not sure if this can be done with the Bender kit without some modification of the chargetube routing and changing the angle on the inlet before the IC corde. I think small the fitment issue I ran into on the charge tube side with MCX IC will be bigger on the Bender kit.
If you still have the OEM vacum fuel pumps as a backup - they probably have to be remove to make room for the hood and the upper clutch side pannel/shroud. With the Bender kit you should be able to use OEM hood and lights.
But don't worry I still have my Bender kit. I will have to remove my MCX IC when changing the D-frame and fuel tank. Remind my to try the bender charge tube and IC to see if it will fit
