For stud protection? Not an issue on the viper.

The SW has a heat exchanger under the seat - so the tunnel protectors are a good idea. Not sure if they come std or not???

They claim 1 minute to install protectors. Nice they made it easy.

Well. That'd good but boy that makes me. Nervous with that heat exchanger right there lol. I may rivet some rubber stripping to the bottom of it for extra clearance

assuming its like pictured and like my turbo procross...you will need to add protectors....my procedure was remove snow flap...slide/pound in.....two supplied screws through tunnel into protectors at rear...reinstall flap...definately not 5 minutes...hopefully yam put a positive spin on this
Thats how it was but this must be even easier if done in a minute. Must not have to remove flap I imagine.assuming its like pictured and like my turbo procross...you will need to add protectors....my procedure was remove snow flap...slide/pound in.....two supplied screws through tunnel into protectors at rear...reinstall flap...definately not 5 minutes...hopefully yam put a positive spin on this

Hey bro,are you studding your sidewinder,if you get one,and if not would you install protectors and stud acrossed the entire belt width,i do agree with SJ about balance and stud hook up and not sure about top speed, but I love top speed, and will want to see 130 on this sled,my only concern is 192 studs at 1.400 height, will it be to tall for safe trail riding, you know because we spin some times on rocks stumps and just bad things sometimes, compared to some one generally staying on clean lakes.Thats how it was but this must be even easier if done in a minute. Must not have to remove flap I imagine.
Ha! After my SRX I ran without studs for many years. I replaced that SRX track every two years and all new studs. Didnt want to do that again. That said this year I did it again. Studded the Viper. We have rivers here that when trails are closed the rivers are awesome and I could not ride them without studs safely. So short answer is yes if I owned a Sidewinder I would stud it. That sled like the SRX is going to attract alot of wannabees. Dont like losing myself.Hey bro,are you studding your sidewinder,if you get one,and if not would you install protectors and stud acrossed the entire belt width,i do agree with SJ about balance and stud hook up and not sure about top speed, but I love top speed, and will want to see 130 on this sled,my only concern is 192 studs at 1.400 height, will it be to tall for safe trail riding, you know because we spin some times on rocks stumps and just bad things sometimes, compared to some one generally staying on clean lakes.
