I just had to post, I had two more buddies switch to the turbo YamaCat in one week! One was a die hard two-stroke forever guy, and another what I'd consider a die hard Doo friend traded in his excellent running 2016 1200 this week for a SideWinder after one ride on my Hurricane 270 HP SideWinder!

The Doo buddy had just raced the 850 we had riding with us and beat him with his 1200! So it's obvious it runs really well, of course it is equipped with a PB80 and revs much higher than stock, but it put the hurt on the poor 850. So after he rode my SideWinder, he swapped sleds onto the 850 for a try on that again. Well he got off stating he did not like it one bit, in fact he hated the way it handled. He has also ridden other 850s and said the exact same thing about them too. He liked my SideWinder so much, he want back to my buddy Kips shop in the UP, Pats Motorsports, and started talking trade in with Kip. A day later we were loading his new 2018 50th LTX-LE in the trailer to go home. I couldn't believe it! Welcome aboard Josh! You sure surprised me with this purchase!

My other friend just brought home a Cat 9000 and I've already ordered him up the full bundle of Hurricane tunes, flasher & muffler.

Three more Hurricane tune bundles going out this week, two of which are replacing another brand of competing tunes!

Will wait for my other bud to tune his, says he's going to run it stock for a while, we'll see how long he can hold out. He just texted me he sold a bunch of Doo stuff today!

The turbo has to be putting the squeeze on the other OEM's, I don't care what anyone says. I know most all my friends have converted to SideWinder or Cat 9000 turbos now but just for a few. They have to be selling a bunch of these turbos! Seems with every test ride someone gets sold, and that included me earlier this last season! One ride is going cost you the bucks to buy one! And one ride on a Hurricane tuned one will cost you some more!

And for whats it's worth, the new 850 rider doesn't seem too thrilled with the new 850, he's missing his better handling and more comfortable 800, his words, not mine. He's already talking about possible trade for a winder. We will see how that pans out. Told him it was a good thing he didn't try mine yet, it would have cost him$$ !

Can't wait to load the tunes in mine and try it. Was supposed to be today but ended up having to work this weekend. Stock was too docile for me.

Thanks Mike. Here I am- first post- See many familiar handles here from DT

Welcome to TY Josh! You'll need to get your Avatar on here too.
You'll find many of us here from DooTalk!
Lots of good stuff for you to catch up on here with the SideWinder, but I think you know the important and major stuff.

Hey Josh....It was great meeting you and Mike along with the rest of your riding crew for the first time this week. I must say it was a pretty "spirited" ride Terry and I experienced between Lac La Belle and Copper Harbor Thursday afternoon. You guys kept these two old geezers on our toes following your snow dust up to the Mariner. I'm glad everyone made it back in those sketchy conditions, especially up top of Brockway. We had a great time chatting with you guys and welcome to TY and the SW club.

It's pretty cool that you were able to work out a great deal with Kip on your new SW and that you've got someone like Mike to get you all set up right from the get go. I wonder how long it will take Steve to see the light and send his new 850 down the road for a new SW?

After Mike showed me the Hurricane set up that he and Dave have worked so hard on this year all I ask Josh is that you make sure that I do not hook up with Mike anytime soon because his set up just might have me hooked if I ever take his sled for a ride. ;)!

You are welcome to try it anytime Don, we'll just need to make sure to Velcro you on! Ha Ha. That was some severe wind and snow eh? Got in that evening, threw it in the trailer, brought it home and found my steering hard and frozen! It's still thawing in the shop! You should come down with Mike when he comes to get his tuned up!

How I wish I was still in the sport after reading these post, been out for 2 years now body fell apart, everyone have fun and be safe. Because I would have Mike make it fly. Yamadog1

I’m so sorry to hear this :-(!!

Any hope of healing and getting well and returning some day??? I sure hope you can!! All the best to you Yamadog1.

That trail sure is tricky up on Brockway in blizzard like conditions at night, it was the only time our trail boss lost his way! ;)

Don, yes nice to meet you too sir. Very nice machine you are in- I damned near thought about turning back once we climbed out of copper harbor- knew it wasn’t gonna be a real pleasant 125 miles back. Regarding Steve’s 850- I couldn’t ride one. Loved my 1200 and assume I will love the winder as well. The ONLY people I’ve heard say they love the handling of the 850 are those on the internet. I have several buddies with them- and I don’t think a single one is impressed with the handling aspect

your welcome to come along Don let me know

Welcome aboard Revitup, man you are in some good hands with Knapp.
