Upgrade with Super Spool

I have the Hurricane 240 flash with after market BOV .
If I add the SS upgrade , do I need to do anything else ?
Looking for the easiest , least expensive , corner to corner pick me up .
Anyone done this ?
What is your assessment of the improvement .

I would think you'd need the 3bar upgrade. Maybe not if your staying with the 240 SS tune.

I updated to the 240ss and had to add 3 bar map sensor. I would recommend updating won’t regret it.

May as well bump it to 270 while you are at it

You might not need a 3 bar with under 15 psig with 240 , but see how much the 270 flash is over the ss upgrade. The 270 flash is probably what you are looking for , it's a lot better all the way through.

What are they doing in the SS tune? Wastegate duty-cycle, ignition timing?

I flashed 2 Thundercats this year with the 240ss tune. Both needed and got 3 bar map sensors.

Closed wastegate and no leaking BOV? What else can you do to spool faster? New header? Or heat from fuel and changed ignition timing??

me. I have the bundle and flasher. Ss tunes need 3 bar map sensor too, so it’s impossible that’s it’s flashed incorrectly.

I ran both 270sm and 270ss back to back on my sled and could say by my a$$ dyno that ss pick up faster down low!
