Yes.... have raced many, theres a few on here and you know a couple of them. One was another Viper RTX with a clutch kit and would walk away from him. We haven't raced lately, but we want to run again. He was just at my place last night as I was going thru my sled and making clutch changes.
They have some snow drags coming up and I want to enter mine
Yes, Saturday was a radar run with a video showing the transfer and conditions.

I have rtx se viper and love it 1300 miles so far and all stock so far except studs. Got to race two clutched apex's and a turbo apex and I won every holeshot and kept ahead for about 500 to 600 ft I was happy with that. Its very quick mods would be awesome on this sled.
any of you want to know how they run...p.m. mad russian on here...he has a nytro and his friend has the viper....he also has an apex and has run against 800 etecs he's in the know...and unbiased since he's all blue

**sj** said:Um no....theres nothing superior in design whether it was then or now.....the doo chassis was and has been a total design evolution no copying....no blowing belts..no reverse issues..no broken jackshafts....no egged out skid rails...no fuel pick up issues....no secondary binding issues..no primary binding issues....no cracked gearbox/oil resi's...no broken chains/stripped top gear's....all of which the procross chassis has had...sure yamaha has fixed some stuff..band-aid others.....keep drinking that vodka and blue kool-aid and ignore facts buuuurp!
Doo is not without their own issues. A friend of mine was out yesterday with his 2014 Plummet 800 and he lost Instrument cluster, hot grips and reverse. Phoned the dealer this morning and was told they so backed up with warranty it will be next week before they can look at it.

And btw..we were riding your chassis two seasons ago...if you think anything major had changed..you smoking something...and after all..its a copy of the doo pyramid design...hence the lawsuit..
That said…calling a spade a spade ...the cat front end is better than the doo...but the doo skid is wayyyyy better than the cat & yamaha..
I do remember that law suite ( Arctic Cat was supposed to recall all sleds produced and destroy them if BUUUURP was correct that AC copied the pyramid design) that would mean there would have been no issues with the 12 Cats and the 13s would have been a different design. ARCTIC CAT proved their design was an evolution of the Spare chassis, and BUUUUURP was infringing on some AC patents. If you want to get into the facts ^^^ are a little skewed I would suggest you are have a serious case of cranial/annal insertion syndrome.
I agreewith you Nytros Rule. If anybody thinks this 2014 chassis is the some as the 2012 they are clueless and not worth talking further about this. Sooo back on topic I go!
ok, this one got me curious.....besides changing the rear heat exchanger mounting, the rear tunnel design and shaving some weight off the spindles, what else is different on the chassis from 2012 to 2014. i didnt think anything else had changed but nobody in our group has a procross chassis just twin spars.
I answered you in PM so as not to feed the trolls and keep on topic.

lol. guess you haven't followed th xp's since 08 at all. They have done ALL of the above.
I switched from an xf turbo from the last two seasons to a viper xtx turbo and the yamaha is quite a bit better handling/balance wise. 10 times the fun my wifes 1200 gade is. Especially off trail. I've ridden an rmotion doo and while it is probably the best riding rear out there, i'd call it incrementally better, not the be all end all. My procross was also not a problem child in the ~4k i put on it, but it was dead stock fwiw.
I don't get why the doo guys have such an inferiority complex.

I'm laughing so hard about your comments about the Doo verse the cat handle and ride wise as well. I own a doo now and put 2500 miles on a procross. It's not even close, the Doo hands down is better it's not even a conversation. Again I owed both and I was afraid to buy the doo because I thought the cat was so good ride wise. I even had hygear tune on my shocks on the cat and my doo flat out rides the cat.
I was a huge Doo basher. I took my blue goggles off and tried a Cat, it was better as Viper owners are finding out. The Doo is even better. Sorry that's just my opinion.

heeeeere we go again. Comparing an older procross chassis to the 2014 Doo. Go ride a 2014 procross chassis so you know what you are talking about. I have a 2014 M8 and a 2014 Viper and wouldn't ride a 2012 Cat because I know better.

everyone has their own opinion. i have ridden a 12 cat 1100, 13 cat 800, 14 cat 1100t and the new viper the 14s are different. i rode all last weekend and on the same day. there where many other sleds there but these are what you guys are talking about. as far as doo being the best that is personal preference. i could talk on ===talk about the doos that i ride with. 1 800 with 1600 miles when the motor siezed up. (spun bearing) on top of oil leaks and numerous trips back to the dealer. or my friend who is on his 3rd in 2 years. first 600etec had numerious electrical problems that they couldnt fix then the second 600etec that hatched in michigian with 480 miles on it that i pulled 90 mph to town with my apex that had 7000+ miles on it and not and ounce of trouble besides bogie wheels. now he is on an 800 xrs that is fast and rides great no doubt but with 2 year warrenty already plans to get rid or it before its up. but we are on ty so i will talk about the only yamahas that i ride with. 2 SXRs that both have over 8000 mi on them no trouble. dads apex with 3800 no trouble. phazer with 4000 miles no trouble. 3 nytros. one that cracked a chain case after changing to lower gears. all 3 are 4000 mi and over. and the 1990 srv that i grew up on that has 9600 mi and we replaced a fan on it at 7000. i ride and put my money where i feel it is best. i do not post on any other site and dont wish to.

I really have alot of respect for you but man you are losing it quickly by posting alot of nonsense. You even said Doos dont blow belts are you kidding? I have been with more Doo belt blowers than any other make. I remember when the Rev came out the river was just littered with belts. My Buddies were afraid to hold 90mph or more for more than a 3 count. Still are to this day even on 14's.
Have you looked at a Viper closely? There were alot of changes from the Procross. The balance of this sled is perfect. The CG is better than any Yamaha 4st to date. Suspension not perfect and not to R-Motion standards but right out of box better all around than anything Yamaha has had to date. Highly adjustable and easily capable of high mile days. Above all it is EASY to work on,FUN to ride and is a heck of alot better looking than any Doo made so let us have our fun and if you have any ideas please post we want to hear your ideas. Think glass half full and help us out. Thank you.

Lol.....
Cannondale : to tell you the truth I really don't need his help or the other guy , I work at a doo dealer and my wife rides one so they can say what they want about doo and how great they are but they aren't perfect I must say
But what we are thinking about doing is putting a r-motion in the viper

You know if you look real blurry eyed at the R-motion I see a Mono Shock suspension. Hmm MonoII. That would be worth Yamaha getting sued over! But really I dont need the R-Motion. Would be nice but not needed.

Seriously why haven't these guys got the boot yet? I don't come here to read about ski doo. I test rode a 1200 gade last spring and still ordered a Viper. They are contributing nothing and about every thread is now covered in there bs statements and yellow slime. Might as well go to HCS. This whole thread should be deleted.
