Viper mods under $100.00

Just lettin folks know the stock gauge has the coolant temp available in degrees rather than just the bar......

For those wondering how to see the degrees - when you have the temp bar showing, hold in the button for 4 seconds or more and the actual numerical degrees will be listed in the middle of the bar. You only need to do it once and it will be saved.

YAMAHA - PLEASE add this feature to every sled you make!

Heh, its Cat electronics.......... :hide:

I added bar mounted mirrors for 12.00 - I bought 2 sets figuring I will have a spare for after the first roll.

3 bucks for a tube of black or clear silicon. Cut tip of silicon so its just open- stick into end of handle bars squeeze ! Fill em up with silicon. Each end of bars.. Why ? you ask... Keeps handlebar warmers even warmer & takes some vibration feed back out.. Nice cheap one for ya fellas

HMMMM Sounds like a good idea .... until a warmer takes a poop ......then what ???????

The bar warmer is wrapped around bars on the outside between grip and bar.. You would be filling inside the metal bars and shooting it all the way to the center of the bars. Hope that makes more sense. been doing this for years.. They have a product that's called BAR BUZZ way over priced compared to just silicon.. AND the bar buzz stuff seems to kind of stay wet like

This was a mod that was almost mandatory on the crap warmers on the Nytro. Viper warmers rock but this is till a good idea.

That's the purpose of this thread, to let forum members know what is out there that is useful for under $100.00

I appreciate the thread just laughing at my self for spending to much.

I like to blame Terry _NOS PRO-for "spending my money"- through his and now both of your good ideas, mostly my fault. LOL

well its not under 100.00 but for 120.00 I got DuPont slides and on my vector I got almost 4000 miles on a set so to me that's a must. better than changing in middle of a trip and everything all froze up. no brainer to me
