Well, my season's over now

Additional info: so I took my sled over the Meyers Yamaha in Ishpeming and I was talking to Randy about it........I mentioned I didn't think a guy should lose his sled to a simple rollover........he made a statement that made the lightbulb in my head go "airbox mod"........he said on a left side rollover the oil should go into the airbox (whether or not that is a good idea is , to my mind, debatable)........however with the extra holes in the airbox THAT's how the oil escaped....anyway I am going to invest in a rollover valve before it's back on the snow.........

So are you saying the mod that you did on your air box let the oil out?

Tell him to look at this pic and really say the extra area below the original hole let more oil out than it would have unmodified. Oil in that area goes out the original hole just the same as it would after making the hole larger. Don't fall prey to the "blame game". Ask how many Vipers with stock air boxes have had a pool of oil after being on the left side.

Unless of course you did as I have seen and put holes under the shelf, even then I do not see how that alters the fact that the oil is coming out once it is out of the vent.

Buddah, did Todd do the airbox mod?

Hi Buddah, if I was supposed to....I am sorry for somehow not getting it done for you, I apologize pal.

On the other hand, I guess the airbox mod isn't what caused this to happen.....cause it wasn't done.

Which brings us immediately back to the pi$$ poor design part.........and I reiterate, no way in A_Very_Warm_Place a guy should lose his sled to a simple rollover.......and without me scrambling like a mad man, it would have been totally gone............

WOW......color me surprised.......and not in a good way.........got "the call" from the dealership........pennies short of $3500.........WHAT?.......I would have NEVER, EVER guessed that high...............

WOW!!!!! sorry to here about that!!!!!!:( Should have let it burn!!!

........Should have let it burn!!!

Oh trust me, that DID cross my mind..........but then the other thought overrode it......you know, the one that says "You'll NEVER replace it for the insurance payout"..........that thought........
