Try some WD-40 or Goo-be-gone.
I would be careful what cleaner I use. I used a cleaner (can't remember what it was now) but when it applied it actually ate the tinted finish of the windshield. I've heard good things about vegetable oil actually.

I know the stuff that Articfx gives you when you buy stickers works awesome it just a adhesive remover I'm not sure where to get it if you call Jordan at Articfx I'm sure he'll help you he's a good guy.

Totally for real, use regular vegetable oil. (corn, olive, etc) It will take it off and it is easily washed off.

i took the glue off the emblems on my truck with goo gone and it took some time but the paint still looks new and it worked just fine... and it smelled like oranges for a while
Goof off ought to work fine and do no damage either. Just test it in a small spot first.

I use Goo B Gone, works very well above freezing
I dunno if the products excists across the pond but here in Norway we have something called "citrus spray". Its a spraycan with some sort of citrus liquid, its freakin awesaome on removing sticker glue or tape glue. Doesnt hurt paint at all.. .

goo gone with a little heat. And use a micro fiber cloth or you will scratch the crap out it. Or goof off. I've never used it and it might be to abrasive or plastic but that stuff would be ok for tunnels if you going to polish after. Strong stuff
WD-40!! I use it to take off the trail permit every year. Works great. I usually use a hair dryer on the license sticker and then the WD-40 to clean remaining residue.
