17 137" roughly 1300 miles on it. I Just removed muffler, right side belly panel and oil tank to fix oil tank leak.
While I'm already this far in is there anything else I should be taking care of?
I'm thinking I'll be deleting roll over valve since I'm right here. Anything maybe inside chaincase or anywhere else that's easily accessible right now?
Thanks and appreciate the input folks.

I have my oil tank off to reseal and also chain case apart for inspection. Once i removed the chain adjuster the damn bolts were a little loose holding the chain roller so about 1 minute with the tig welder and i dont have to worry about the bolts coming loose again, its worth it to check.

Might want to check out RockerDan's detailed pictorial and narrative on his Sidewinder build.

Wellll after a bunch of reading I've discovered even more to do, layed off for the season and no snow so might as well. Upper gear is still tight and nothing out of the ordinary looking. Both screws in tension roller are tight but since im in there and am a welder myself... you guessed it both screws are gettin a tig button. Especially after lookin at all rockerdans stuff lol BTW rockerdan im up in oswego ny so if you run outta stuff to do on your machine stop on by

Well sleds been back together a few days and the damn chaincase is leaking. This things gonna be the death of me. I noticed the cover didn't really mate up to the chaincase that well, the surfaces were so different i could rock the cover on it.
Guess I'll just tear it back apart and piss pound the ol permatex to the chaincase to

Don't forget to use silicone and place a bead on the inside and outside of the sight glass. They are know to come loose.

Also, be gentle with chaincase cover bolts. They have Loctite on them and it is worth the time to clean the bolts and where they thread into the casting. Many have got too viscous on the re-install and stripped them.

My damn chaincase is leaking now. Apart she comes again. At least I'll have something to do boxing day.
