I would NEVER stud out side edge makes the sled push! Been there done that to many times and will never make that mistake again. Think about it on outside when you turn you are making the stud drag the track want to go straight.

It can but you just need to add more steering.

When you stud out side you lose handling period! Has nothing to do with more carbide don't believe me ask a professional person like a snocross racer or stud boy etc! Or try this lay down a small piece of wood and but nails in it on the outside and have your wife stand on it and try to turn it? Repeat with nails are nails in the middle?

I can promise you I will stay with you in any corner and destroy you in a drag race with studs all over. It's all about setup.

then the guy studded on the outside adds chisels too and you still lose...
with a quality track like the ripsaw 2 , theres no reason not to stud outside....buyrite...you might want to read this...

Im studding a sled for trail riding period. If i was drag racing all the time them install a 144 track with chisels. Studs on the outside of track KILL handling if you don't believe me just stud the middle and go ride your sled? then come back and stud the out side? trail studs are a joke on 200 HP sled and trying to hook it up from a dead stop.

Buyrite It totally depends on what kind of a rider u are. Some guys like the #*$&@ end to slide out while others prefer side bite especially when coming into a corner hot. I prefer not to show oncoming traffic the whole side of my sled. To each his own. Nobody's trying to convince you either way. Cheers.

And on a trail sled no it won't be like chisels but you can get some pretty serious traction with triggers my nytro would launch on glare ice

how do you like the stingers? there a little cheaper than the triggers but on other forums it appears guys like the triggers better for durability. also what pattern is that did you purchase it or make ur own?just like I did last year... 192 1.630 stingers

Id guess (from comparing to my buds triggers) they are about the same..Id say in a tie I take the stingers because of a shorter shoulder which gives better track mat capture....
We made our own pattern to optimize scratchlines..
fwiw , I like studding on the outside and a 4 wheel kit on this sled...felt stable in the trails...

Im probably going with the triggers as i have a buddy who gets discounts on them and i still have quit a few left over from the nytro. I too will be studding the outside .
Next question for some reason the 1630 triggers are cheaper than the 1450 . do u see any problems with running the 1630 on the side winder and rubbing the top of the tunnel or hitting anything important. or with making it overheat because of riding higher?
has anyone used the angeles backers or possibly the stud boy super lite pro series backers with woodsy studs?

Plenty of room..not even close to an issue on the 16 zr...the X factor is the SW heat exchanger protection..since nobody has seen it...
Personally I wouldn't run fancy backers....too much at risk imho...good old fashioned aluminum backers and steel lock nuts with blue thread locker equals success...
Angled backers have been ran...but they tilt the head which chunks out you're wheels...that's the price you pay...
