What's everyone running for oil with tune?

Lol.....well in all this confusion and decisions to make. I'm going to stick with old faithful, Mobile 1 5w30.
Been using it since '87 (Buick turbo). I have other vehicles that use it so extra oil won't go to waste.
Nice to see it's near the top of the list as far as overall quality goes.

The only reason I bought the Pennzoil is after the rebate it cost 15 bucks for a 5 qt jug. That's 3 bucks a quart for the top dog oil! You will pay that for conventional oil. The fact that its the highest rated oil was just the icing on the cake. I still can't believe what a smoking deal it is.

One thing is nice...it is real close to top in that test review, and easily found at all walmarts for quite cheap.

Just nice not to be spending so many dollars on 2stroke oil anymore, it was so pricey and just got burned..lol

The best part is all our 4 stroke oil gets recycled unlike the 2 stroke stuff that just contributes to global warming and a shorter riding season!:4STroke:

Sure does! Just got done coating bottom of mine and Daughters truck with my waste oil. Getting ready for winter!

Do you have to order it separately or can I order 5 gallons and get all the rebates at once? Also where do you find the kn oil filter for $10 cheapest I saw was 13

Good info here guys. Thanks. How much oil is needed for the change? And I'm assuming the Yamaha filter is the one of Choice?
I think you need 3-4quarts with the filter change. I bought a couple K&N filters for 11 bucks each but the Yamaha filters are only a few bucks more so they are good also.

Manual says 3qts. But double check that, I have a lazy eye.

Ha they pay more than that when they run low on trail! Pulled into South Range with buddy on 800 cat. Used 3more gallons of Premium and had to buy a 2 $30 qts of the fancy 2st oil! Almost every ride same thing. It adds up! When he finds more room to stash some cheaper from home I just make sure to ride a little more!

Hey Blue.....

I have always run the k&n oil filters on my yams....they have a welded on NUT so loosening is a snap. Bypass/relief valve built in too.
