I want a little nicer sound but not loud and don't want to do the ECU. Which one??? Lots of choices. If I get 8-10 HP that's fine too.

There's a thread by "beerman" which has video of the most popular exhausts. As for running one without a tune I wouldn't advise it but if you so choose try and find one with a 2" outlet.

I believe Hurricane has a can that you can run with no ECU Tune.

The definitive work on the subject https://ty4stroke.com/threads/ultimate-sidewinder-muffler-decibel-test.149512/
And as always, Mr Sled is right, Hurricane claims his unique mount stops the waste gate from over boosting and doesn't need a tune. I have no way to verify this but you can see pics of the muffler and sound clips at that link.
Cannondale - maybe it's time yo take you up on the offer and pin that thread. Should we call it something different so everyone knows what it is?
I'll be adding the test of the Hurricane Quiet Trail muffler in Dec!

There are several new mufflers that claim they don't need a flash, speedwerx stage one, SSI (speed shop Inc) and BMP (bikeman performance).

And not one of them advertise on this site other than Hurricane, thus my reasoning for mentioning them. I support those who support us.

I don't think I'm giving any trade secrets away for Dave but I can delete this if I am - it's important to note that the only muffler I'm aware of that isn't supposed to require a tune has a unique flange for the waste gate. This is also the muffler Hurricane has used in all their dyno testing of his available tunes - so while it may not "need" a tune - Dave has shown it's capable of a lot of HP too.

I honestly didn't even think about that. Meant no harm, I was simply trying to offer help or options for a fellow turbo owner. And not one of them advertise on this site other than Hurricane, thus my reasoning for mentioning them. I support those who support us.

I understand that but I like to point out who comes to TY and actually is part of the community and helps other users in the process. If at all possible encourage other vendors to stop in and be part of it.

The TD stock modified muffler stage 2 will work with the stock ECU tune. It's a solid HP gain but not too much as to cause issues with the tune.
The TD super quiet or TD TurboForce do raise HP too much and need a tune.

Agree with Ben...I have spoke with a few with stock modded last season who ran them with stock ECU and had no issues.
Sure wouldn't hurt to have AFR gauge at least for some initial testing to be safe.
