Why have we been foresaken?

The curse will be broken! Around 30cm (~12") of the white gold is upon us. Starting tonight continuing tomorrow. W00T!

:letsnow: :-o:Rockon::jump:;)!

If we don't get 30cm of snow tomorrow, I'm blaming you for jinxing it.

Ain't gonna happen boys. Just look out your windows. Already more snow than we've had all season!

Can't believe the Metcalfe area (Manotick to Russel zones) have turned yellow ALREADY ?! :-o:letsnow:

Went ridding with the kids in the snow coach yesterday, had to turn around since condition was crap.

I'm loving this. Maybe ridding tomorrow hey hey hey.

Can't believe the Metcalfe area (Manotick to Russel zones) have turned yellow ALREADY ?! :-o:letsnow:

That's my club, Osgoode Carleton. They're very proactive and probably have the groomers out already. They'll be green by tomorrow. I just hope that the Rideau River is frozen over enough to cross.

Tomorrow morning, I'm outta here! :sled1:

nope...... damnit.

I feel sick... *cough, cough*. :p

Just waiting for my comatose son to wake up and we're gone!

50cm. Wow! But, just riding around the yard last night, it's the fluffy, non stick type of snow. All I was doing was plowing. Maybe after a lot of sleds run the trails and some grooming, it'll pack.

I went today on yellow trails towards Hawkesbury. Did a short run of 130km. Only 30km of this was groomed and didn't meet a single groomer. Bummer.

This weekend I am heading on the Quebec side. They have GPS in their groomer and they have been active since the storm non stop.

Went out past couple of days. It's brutal. Our club's groomers are both broken so our trails are the worst I've ever seen. Day after the storm, we were literally breaking trail almost continuously, especially on the secondary trails. Main trails were mostly single sled width and beat to junk. Went down to Winchester, their trails were a little better having had at least been groomed once but already pretty beat. We even crossed the groomer but heading through farmers fields, were quickly wind swept.

Last night was even worse. Osgoode Carleton (Greely/Metcalfe/Manotick) still hasn't been groomed so they're junk and yellow. Carleton Regional (Rideau Carleton Raceway/Gloucester/Cumberland) have been groomed but beat to death, also yellow. This morning, trails are green for Eastern Ontario towards Alexandria.

We're supposed to get 5-10cm tonight and tomorrow is going to rain. I'm OK with that as that will help with making the snow stick and groomable. Next week will be better.

Don't you think the warm weather Saturday will make the groomed trails beet up in no time?

It will help this fluffy stuff stick and setup better after being groomed. They can't be any more beat up that they are now, that's for sure!

Yep, Osgoode system undone and brutal.. my brother went out yesterday afternoon and hardly made 50km before being beat up too much and headed home defeated.

Both groomers down ? DISGUSTING !! Maybe they should consider an alternative to using Scuse... I personally gave up on them years back and for good reason #$%&* !

Here's hoping another snow event today followed by a touch of warmth and wet allow the trails to pack decently.. that is, provided the groomers work :o|
