I wonder if anyone has rough idea what serial number these higher HP sleds might start at. It would be interesting to know what the serial number is on a known sled with the 140+HP

You guys had me worried about this fast/slow thing, not sure if it is true or not but I just got back from a 50 mile ride and on hardpack mine will run right up to 9100-9200rpm.
Clutching and gearing are stock, 300 miles on the sled, the build date is 07/07 and the serial # ends in 0637...

wow, thought one made in sept would be an early one. I will just say I have had an attak and 2 900 cats and many 7-800 cc sled and this thing has got some power. Pulls very hard to 80 or so,which is fine with me.

Just checked my 40th, build date of 09/07 s/n ends in 4457. Can't really comment on performance yet. Only about 70 miles on it, still have the high elevation clutch setup.
I would think with the late build date and high s/n, this should be a "good one", no?

I can remember telling my brother ( who is a HUGE Poo fan ) after my second ride and I had over 100 miles on it. When he asked how does it run I replied with "It's the strongest 138 HP I have EVER ridden!"

Amen! I only have 200 miles on mine and I have yet to even break 80, but I don't care because the low-end is the only thing I need/want!
