Anyone have any idea if Artic Cat side panel wind deflectors will fit on a 2017 Winder body panels .?? I keep getting cold knees when riding ! Cat makes several different styles and I cannot find a cross reference . for Yamaha

I don't know if this helps you or not but I seen this windshield on a Cat high country the owner had mounted mirrors on it and it look decent it had deflectors down low that might help keep knees warmer I bought it to try over my mid height Yamaha windshield I get wind turbulence fairly bad above 100km. I'm new to this forum I can't figure out how to get a picture off my phone to show you and I bought the windshield in Quebec when I broke down at Yamaha/cat dealer he is purolating it to me next week I could send you a picture but it may not be what your looking for

Download an app to downsize the pic, I use Resizer, simply download your pic and pick a size you want to change it to then post it on here.
Smart phone pic is like 3000 x 4000 give or take, you need to bring it down to around 600-700 x 900-1000

I don’t have an answer for you but I hope someone else does. I have the same issue with cold knees.

I was out for a quick ride yesterday on the lake and fields accessible from my house just to check out the sled (first time out this season). I only had an old pair of insulated coveralls on my legs (over sweatpants) and the wind cut through the knees like crazy! I dropped my brake hand down a couple times and held it obliquely against the body panel (i.e. a “hand” deflector) and I could immediately feel the difference.

It baffles me that the designers don’t build in wind deflection for the legs. Many older sleds had it but the newer ones tend to wrap the side panels back toward the legs behind the widest point on the body. Of course, air loves to follow that contour - and yes, it probably cuts down a tiny bit on drag coefficient with that side panel “wrap”, but the impact on top speed with a simple deflector to break the air wrapping around into your knee would be tiny.

If anyone knows if the Cat deflectors will fit the Sidewinder body panels - or if there are any other aftermarket manufacturers making something for this application, please let us know!

But think you can find them other places . Good luck and pray for snow !

They look good please let us know if they work well. Also from the pic it looks like you have knee pads. If so could you send out the PN I might grab some of those if you think they help with knees bumping. My do all the time I often think the seat should be more saddled to prevent sliding .
