I understand why they don’t give specs anymore...
I have 3 xs825 in front of me. They should be 1-13/32=35.72mm
Real world -33,80////// 34.00/////33,9o
And XS805 should be. 1-3/8=34,92mm
Real world - 36,10mm
They changed their recipes, it wasn’t like that before ...:-/.
Hello Timken quality control?
Their quality control is good, but they now trim the top edge like the 01-8DN does to prevent shredding the top cog off. So a bit of the angle on top gets trimmed off. The cord width is all still right where it needs to be. Check it out here, measuring the top width means nothing like it used to on a belt, its still about the width right at the cord.

I can’t explain this!
I didn't touch nothing on deflection,
BOTH NEW BELT Xs-805 (8dn) is shorter than xs-825(8JP)
I am confused

805 is slight bit wider from the looks of it and sits up in the secondary a bit further if you didn't touch deflection.

I have XS 805s kicking around that we use on SX600/700s I also have a couple new XS 825s on the work bench.
The XS 805[8DN replacement] is definitely longer then the XS 825[8JP replacement]

According to official Timken size chart they sent me, the XS825 is 1-13/32" (1.406") wide. The XS805 is 1-3/8" (1.375") wide.

Byam, how high it sits in the secondary has nothing to do with how long it is. I'd not picking up and what you are trying to show us. The 805 sits higher in the secondary is all I can see from your pictures. What am I missing?
The 805 is longer than the 825.

Normally from 8jp to 8dn i need +1mm washer in tha stack... It used to be same thing for XS belt. (825 to 805)
Now their specs have change.
805 is 44,7/8 OD and the 825 is 44,5/8.
805 is +2mm wider,+ 1mm thicker than xs825 it was not like that before.

From what I see in those pics is the 805 is about .020" wider at best. I can change a .015" shim in my secondary and change the height in the secondary by about that same amount. No way is it 2mm wider. That would be almost .080", that belt would be sitting way out of the driven if it was indeed 2mm wider.
