Yamaha Cutting Production for 2019

My dealer is telling me that there well be a total reboot for Yamaha in 2020. Yamaha is done with Arctic Cat. Arctic Cat has to worry because Textron doesn't want the snowmobile line, tried to sell it to Yamaha and they didn't want it either. My dealer is happy with Yamaha and their business decisions.
2020 back to a all Yamaha snowmobile line up I hope.:yam:

Well I see Marty is also from Minnesota, maybe he knows someone inside the Cat facility....? I know 2 people affiliated with Cat, one that works and races for them and one who writes their magazine and runs their forum.
So does your 2 people say the same thing?

Those Red Heads had a really cool exhaust note, smooth as silk when riding them. Zero handle bar vibration. Totally different story with these big twins.

Man I hope your right!

Dual bulb threw me off. Looks real nice.

yes, it was a 01 700. all my buddies said it was a freak cause it was so damn fast. i left it stock when we all had yami tripples (one srx, one viper and my sxr). When those guys moved on to polaris 800s i too peeled my headgasket, drilled the silencer, and put reed spacers on. That thing was hard to beat on the trails, or drag racing. The problem with hanging with those new poos in the ruff was it beat the hell out of me. It was truly an animal. One of my buddies used always say, "some japanese guy got laid the night before that thing was built". lol. Shoulda kept it

Sometimes you get lucky and get a fast one!! I only had the 2001 SXR one year, switched to the 700 2s Viper after that. I really liked the SXR though. That was a tough sell for me.

My srx 600 and sx viper, love the old school triples!!

I agree, had a 2000 SXR 700. Best sled I have ever owned. Had over 9,000 miles on it & the only thing that ever broke was the recoil spring, but no worry for me because it also had electric start.

With all the speculation of Yamaha ending there snowmobile division. I have one question? Other than giving there snowbelt dealers something to sell in the winter, do they really need to be in the snowmobile buisness?

I miss my 98 SRX 700 also, only way to get over it is to ride down a rough trail and remember why I got rid of it. Smooth groomed trails it was a weapon though!
