YAMAHA's smart move for 2010 would be ...

You're worried about handwarmers and donuts. Everybody else is worried about their ENGINES. Come on! You're out in an unforgiving COLD environment, and thats all you have to worry about... seems you're FAR FAR ahead of the curve. I wouldn't be complaining.

Crappy handwarmers are unacceptable especially since we all know it's possible. They used to make them...it's really not that hard and it's not a new technology they have to develop. I would complain too (but I've got a 4 year old sled so they work perfectly lol)

What I don't understand is the whole suspension deal. The mono works incredibley well once it's setup for your weight. Constant bottoming will break W arms and they have addressed that issue with both beefier arms AND bigger springs. I absolutely love that skid.

I have to agree. Over 11K for a sled and handwarmers suck? Come on...there is NO excuse for that...especially when there IS a fix.
LB...it may not be a big deal to you, but cold hands take all the fun out of riding in a big hurry...

2010

i agree with everyone, i like to tinker and do add on's, so i enjoy working in the garage, been with yamaha for 11 yrs, if ski-doo makes a four stroke turbo that's bullet proof i would sure consider one.

For 2010 I would like to see:
XTX with bigger fuel tank
better skis
Fox Evols up front
Std. 1.5" ripsaw and available 1.75" track
Side exit exhaust so you can add a rear rack
Both rear shocks swith remote reservoirs
Shave off another 10lbs

All of this is completely possible and would put this sled on top of the list.

I would say a showroom sled with a turbo. Like the new cat turbo has about 180hp. I would like to see a Phazer Rtx-se and same with a 136" track option

No Handwarmers on a Yamaha is like no Heated seats in a BMW.....Totally Wrong

oh by the way, I'm not participating in this rescession...we need to start spending our way out, bring on the new sleds

what I would love to see is a mono-shock RA skid on the phazer, I freeking loved that skid, was far better then the one that is under them now. I'd also like to see yami pull some more stock HP out of the 500cc. 90HP is a nice round number.

FX-1 is the new sled name that yamaha copyrighted last year? along with some others as mentioned on this site.

I'm surprised they would name something FX-1 after using RX-1 for a few years.

Yeah...what are the other names?

OK... lets see if I remember. FX1, FX racer, FX nytro, FX 130. There's an old post on here listing these but I can't find it with a search at moment.
