Well , Hadn't been on for a while and knew I wanted to do lifetime VIP , so jumped onboard and found I almost missed your sale . I'll be ready for the cold northern Minnesota and Wisconson days this year , Dang it was a long week last year up at Hackensack with cold fingers and thumb !! Almost had to park the Apex and unload the Vector , knowing it had the warmest bars after adding your kit to it a few years ago !! I'll probably will be kicking myself someday for not getting a starter saver kit for both , maybe a Xmas gift for myself down the road ?? Thanx doc

Hi Guys!
We will be with LakeEffect & Sledstart at Haydays!
We are right next to Ulmer Racing at Booth HFC-3.
That is in Contingency Row.
Stop by and see us!
We will have YamaHeaters, TRAIL JAMZ In-Helmet Stereos & many other cool things!
(Have to stop by & see!)
Look for myself & Chuck: The Crash Test Dummy!

Rock, well, ROCKS!
Gonna have hot hands this winter. Thanks!
On a side note, just got done ordering a custom built power point that is going to be a plug and play using the factory dc outlet connector harness. It is going to have two USB outlets and two RCA type plugs for accessories. I'm thinking after I get mine, Rock will get others interested! I'll post some pics when it's done and installed!

How do you get the rubber grips over the hook without damage to heaters?

The way I have done it:
Warm up the rubber grips with a hair dryer first, then slather the inside of the grips & the outside of the elements, pretty good with the Yamaha grip glue to lubricate them.
The heat helps the grips be more flexible & expand more, the glue lubricates pretty well.
Squeeze the excess glue out towards the center of the bars.
(Of course catching & wiping the excess glue off as you go.)
I then use the heaters on high to speed up the glue setting.
Some guys use compressed air, have never done it myself.
Hope this helps!

Beginning of last season I bought a used yamaheater for my daughters' 03 rx-1. I put '06 apex bars on it as well. Â She says nothing but lukewarm heat no matter what she does. I'm ready to throw in the towel & buy a new yamaheater if that will fix it. Or is it an insurmountable prob using 06 bars on an 03 rx?
Thanks,
Bob
