P.S. it sure was nice even to have one warm hand!
Lol, a bit lop-sided though!
Send me a PM with your number & we will get you taken care of!
Thanks for the help finding the problem, I fixed 'er all up and she works awesome. Both hands get hot!

I'm hoping the order that Powersports1 placed arrives before Christmas, I'm riding four days next week and looking forward to warm hands!
Fusion I love the LTX GT, it bottomed out a few times while I was playing with the EC rear Ohlin Shock and had it the lowest setting. I find that running at about 60%-75% on the dash is perfect for me? I'm using the Ice Ripper by Camoplast which is perfect for my riding style! WARNING: Ice Ripper XT will scrape the rear heat exchanger if you bottom out!!! It is a light scrape and no where near penetrating the exchanger but it will touch!

AWESOME...
Installed on my 06 Apex today along with a set of 07 bars (via eBay ($50) as recommended).
rode tonight at Tug Hill, didn't realize you had to turn the grips all the way DOWN to get the heat UP.
after looking at some posts and reading the directions I got 120 Degrees F at idle!!!! can't wait to ride to Stillwater tomorrow with my new found glory.
Thanks!
Also, what size is the nut on the on off switch, I didn't mount mine and the nut came off, now I want to mount mine... 1/4? I'm sure I can find another switch at radio shack and use the nut off that.
I'm used to living in NC and they keep my hands nice and toasty. Awesome.

Hey Dude!
Glad you like!
How do like the new bars?
Yes, you can use about any nut off a miniature switch from radio shack.
Do believe it is a 1/4" nut.

I was wondering about that very thing Rock...on my '06 Apex Mountain would I be better off swapping to the upgraded bars, or are my '06 bars going to be adequate with your excellent kit installed??
I ask because I have your Yamaheater kit in my garage just waiting to be installed (Christmas shopping has slowed my progress some )
Mighty fast shipping by the way!!
Thanks,
Vince

Does the 2010 have the heat into the hooks. Ihave one but cant really tell. It looks different than our 2008. I have the yamaheater on the way too. Is it true that the heat guage/switch works backwards like above post????

no the 2010 does not have heat to the end anymore.
from all the new feedback coming in,the 2010 vectors heaters are supposidly really good now....not sure about apex fro 2010 though, but im guessing they are all better. Just not sure if they are as good as rocks kit.
they put an insolator on the new heaters(between the bar and heater) which goes along way to making them warmer but the jury is out so far on an actual comparo.
Rocks kit puts more power to the heaters, while the 2010s just redesigned the heaters to make them warmer with LESS power.
if i had a 2010 i would wait to see how well they work. JMO

Hi Shawn!
You will have to let us know on the 2010, some appear to & some don't, have heard reports both ways.
I agree with Dan about riding it & seeing how they work before considering any mods.
The YamaHeater adds a High Heat setting (That works!) by replacing your current "Off" with the High Heat setting.
It works like this using the existing Blue switch on your bars:
7 Bars Green LED High (Factory)
6 Bars Green LED
5 Bars Green LED
4 Bars Green LED
3 Bars Green LED
2 Bars Green LED
1 Bar Green LED Low (Factory)
0 Bars RED LED HIGH HEAT (Was factory Off)
It is much easier to use than explain, lol.

backwards?....
i never thought of it that way but if you are referring to my custom install thread then yes.
its funny so many people have bought this or are buying it but haven't read how to turn it on or off...LOL
Maybe my thread will help to make it clear how the yamaheater works....i know when a thread has over 50 pages most people dont read it all, lol.

Rock, Had Kip at Pat's install my Apex LTX Yamaheaters & they don't get as hot as my wife's Vector LTX does. I rode all day Sat-Sun-Mon with them on & not much hotter than stock in 16 to 23 deg temps. They were hotter, but not real hot. Any ideas? Pat's installed my wife's also, so i'm sure they were installed right!
