Hey Dean, I did this after looking at your post from last week describing how you did the EVAC system on your sled. I know you dont have a digital camera so I took these so all my RX-1 boys could get a better idea of what you and my man Freddie tested yesterday. Please respond to this post and tell me if this is done right so the rest of the filter kit boys can copy my pictures to do this mod on thier sleds. Thanks in advance--- Cubby.

Cubby, looks great. Can anyone tell me why putting the vent back into the air filters work better than not. I am very green when it comes to performance.

Looks Great Cubby! Seeing that your my neighbor to the south and may have the same stores as I where did you get the components? Looks like two T's are needed, two elbows, two grommets, some sort of cap for the drain and what type and size hose is that running to the block?

YEH-
thats about right cubby-not exactly like mine but it should work fine
i would make the water trap a little longer and put an elbow where the 3/4 hose bends around the battery case
cool eh?
let me know what if any differences in the sled that you notice-hopefully less oil use

Ok boys I got Dean's blessing with this one. I went to a local parts store this morning after reading Dean and Freddies posts. Any parts store I have been to has this company brand titled HELP. I bought all this stuff and it came to like 23.95. Here are the part numbers on the HELP packages I used. 2- Grommets-#42055, 2- 90 degree elbows-#47032, 1-5/8 tee-#47117, and 1- 3/4 tee-#47118. A couple feet of 5/8 and 3/4 heater hose and your all set. Dont forget to do what Dean suggested I do to mine like make the bend around the battery with an elbow and make the water trap a little longer. Oh yea the prefilters, I took a 11/16 socket and hammered it into some soft wood and it cut a perfect hole into the prefilter. After the grommets are epoxyed in put the prefilters on and mark where the hole is from the grommet. This is awesome, a few extra HPs from an allready awesome product. Thanks again Dean and Freddie.---- Cubby

Yea yamamax, the elbows into the pcv grommets the hose and the upper tee are 5/8. The rest from the bottom of the upper tee, including the lower tee, and then to the metal crankcase fitting is 3/4. As Dean suggested I put an elbow around the battery and made the water trap longer. I will post those pics in the morning.---- Cubby

Cubby, I do not keep my sleds at home so I can't check myself.
What is the distance from the crankcase fitting to where the bend needs
to start at the battery box. Dayco has many dual diameter hose (3/4 at one end and 5/8 at the other) with a preformed bend in it. If I had the length I should be able to come up with a part # so that the install would require one less tee.

Thanks yamamax, but I already bought a 3/4" elbow for around the battery before you found the dayco part #. Thanks anyways man. Here is a pic of the final result on my sled. I used the short gray hose that used to go from the crankcase nipple to the plastic thingy as an extention for my water trap. I also added the 3/4" elbow, HELP part # 47063 to go around the battery. Thanks Dean for the advise, I think it looks alot cleaner now. ----Cubby

i m new at this but would a pvc valve used at the water collection hose work, it would close when the motor is running and vent when the motor shuts down????????????????
