Z1 turbo what?

Here was a friendly drag race that took place last weekend by saginaw mi on the cheyboyganing creek. I think the Z-1 turbo is gonna need more than a Hi- jacker kit to keep up.

I don't know, I think the Z1's are the most finicky snowmobile made, while they have improved since 09 but i still think their setup sweet spot is small and takes time and the turbo itself and the electronics are sketchy. However, I also think when setup properly they are the fastest non modded snowmobile (exhaust, cluthcing, etc.). The old forge shoot out with properly set up sleds proved that I think.

There might of been a 60hp shot of go juice and some chisels, no turbo though... I know there was a lot of pissed off people there that day with all there modded out drag sleds.

This is what a hyjacker will do... So, unless that Nytro had boost or that was an 09 Z1, that was stock. Stock 09 was slow. A 2010 or 11 will beat any nytro, unless its boosted....

My buddies sled on the ice, but the ice was soft and had snow on it.

Ryan, A clutched 2010 or 2011 Z1 will beat any stock clutched or gear sled out to date. With equal traction. The new Z1 is very well calibrated. Just ask SJ... He's got one and he has owned every sled in the last 2 years... LOL..

Sj's z1 is fast real fast. Stock it was no faster then my 2011 apex. I don't care what steve says and we've talked about it slot. But now that it's dialed it's stupid fast for a trail sled.

I'll go one step further if you leave the z1 at it's stock boost level clutch it gear it and add a speed track with chizzles. Do the same to the apex I think the apex wins. Just my opinion.

There is no question the z1 has the biggest upside right from the factory. It had a turbo on it. That being said the fastest sleds in the world are all blue they arnt green. So yamaha guys keep your heads up

So far this season Ive run around an XP 800r, ran with an 07 Mach Z 1000 which I had by a couple lengths until 8-900', beat up an Attack with clutching, airbox, exhaust mod and have fun away from 2010/11 F8s and a couple lightly modded Crossfire 8s, XCR 800s and a Mach Z 800....In 1000' im pretty confident I can run with anything....and my sled is 100% trailable...pretty sure a Z1 Turbo won't keep up in the trails I ride. I suppose if I sat on a on a lake all day I'd lose a few races here and there...I'm by far the fastest guy around...but for what I've got...she works pretty darn good
